Top 3!
I'm finally down to a top 3 for my Rachel combo, and I feel pretty confident about these choices. I just need help picking the right one! The initials RE for Rachel Evangeline honor my sister, and Clara honors family. Posy is a roundabout reference for my mom (who could always be found gardening when I was little!), and Zoe has a personal connection (one of the first Greek words I learned; I would love to pass my love of languages down to my children one day).
I know Rachel Zoe and Clara Evangeline have some association and flow issues, but I love them so much that they don't really bother me.
I'd love to know which combo(s) you liked best, and maybe even why. Does one go better with my favorites (see signature) than others?
Thanks, ladies!Ashley

Pick Rachel Clara Evangeline!!! I'm a little teeny bit biased I guess, but it's just SO beautiful! (You other combinations are really pretty too btw).

I voted Zoe because I liked your reasoning behind it. Plus it's a cool, fun name =)

I almost voted for Rachel Clara Evangeline because I think it's such a smooth flowing combination and all 3 names are pretty.
But I decided on Rachel Zoe Evangeline because it has more spunk and fun and both Rachel and Evangeline are very stately. I think it perks up the combination.Livy/Lucy : Geneva/Gwen : Coralie/Alice : Noelle/Eve

I chose Rachel Clara Evangeline because I love all three of those names so much, but Zoe and Posy are adorable fun names as well. My second choice would be Rachel Posy Evangeline because Posy is so underused and sweet.

lol, I do realize it's a problem. It didn't bother me at all to begin with, and then I started noticing it because that's what others' noticed, but now I'm back to not caring. It has a lot of meaning to me, outside of the association to her, and I've never watched her show and really wouldn't even recognize her if she stood right in front of me. Besides, from what I hear about her, I hope she's a passing fad, and by the time I actually name a child Rachel, hopefully the association would be gone. I suppose an alternative might be Rachel Sofia Evangeline, although that's getting on the long side. Sophia was another of the first Greek words I learned (seriously, haha, I think "zoe" and "sophia" were on my vocabulary list my first day of Greek class!), so that has just as much meaning as Zoe and I like that they both have great meanings--life and wisdom. I guess, in a way, Evangeline could sort of be a nod to that, as the Greek word it came from, "euangelion", was another of the first words I learned.
Even if people are put off by Rachel Zoe, though, that doesn't explain why Rachel Posy isn't getting much love. Posy is so sweet and spunky and honestly, it sums up my memories of my mom completely, lol. I came home yesterday and what was she doing? Gardening.
Of course. haha. Maybe Posy's just too nicknamey for some? Or a bit of an acquired taste?
I do like Rachel Clara Evangeline a lot--it was originally my Rachel combo--but I had the feeling that it was off and considered several other options. I feel like I'm coming back around to it, but I'm still not sure it's perfect and I do still really love Zoe and Posy. The other option for Posy is Eleanor Posy Grace--is that any better? I thought I might prefer Rachel Posy Evangeline, but I think I like them both just about equally.Last edited by ashthedreamer; July 12th, 2012 at 05:39 PM.

I picked the Zoe combination; I'd never heard of Rachel Zoe before saw comments here and Googled the name. I thought Clara was a bit dull, Posy slightly troublesome to say, and Zoe just right. It brings just a little bit of zip to the combination, and besides the meaning is kind of cool alongside Evangeline.
I think your problem with the Rachel combo may be using Evangeline as a second middle. Any way you look at it, you're getting into a good number of syllables; and all of the options you listed on your poll end in a vowel which always makes for a tricky pass from one name to the next. If you tried a clipped little one-syllable name you might find more love in general -- something like Rachel Rose Evangeline, Rachel Wren Evangeline, perhaps, or if you don't like alliteration you could shorten Clara down to Rachel Claire Evangeline or swipe a name from a different combo for Rachel Kate Evangeline. Eve would give you the same meaning as Zoe, and though I wouldn't recommend using Eve and Evangeline in the same combination, it's an idea for moving that meaning to another combo if you want to keep it and Zoe doesn't work elsewhere. Olivia Eve Camille, maybe, which I actually like very much. But you'll have to play with the combos as you please, as I never can remember which initials you're wanting to keep, lol.
Eleanor Posy Grace is simply darling. I really like that one.
