How cute!! We're not buying anything yet, waiting till we know things are ok which seems a really long time away. Though
I saw a great offer on nursery furniture the other day (cotbed, chest of drawers & changing table for £160) that I was tempted by, have found the same deal on eBay so I'm not gonna rush to buy it now.

Ya I was scared to buy anything too but when it's such a smashing deal I figure worst case scenario, the next baby gets it

Yea Tina I put that point across but dh said he really doesn't want to buy anything till we know everything is ok. I've never seen him worried before, he doesn't even want to talk about the baby. I understand how he feels but it's hard for me because I can't switch off & forget about it when it's changing my body daily. How has your dh been since the scare? Hope eveything goes well today at your appointment

He was a little bit slow for it to catch on at first, but once he saw the baby and the HB on the monitor he has been gaga. I think it's different for guys. They are also much more visual, so until he sees the baby on an u/s or sees your growing tummy he may be a bit slower catching the "we're pregnant" wagon. DH loves how big my boobs are though lol my tummy is "bigger" now too. You can't tell I am pregnant, just like I went to town on an all you can eat buffet but I can't tie up my pants without it pushing on my stomach and against the uterus, so I am using hair ties and bebands to stay comfortable out in public. I am just surprised since it is my first pregnancy. He has been good since the scare, he wasn't as scared as me because he doesn't know all the possible ways it can go wrong but after the 2nd u/s he was super releived and excited and talks about it a lot more again.

Unfortuantely my appt for tonight had to be moved to Thursday sad, I was really hoping we could hear the HB! It's still early though, I'll only be 10 weeks on Wednesday.

Hello girls! I hope I can join. I'm due on 24th February 2013, and just got out of hospital where I was treated for hyperemesis gravidarum and dehydration!

We have had two early scans already - one at 6 weeks to rule out an ectopic, and one at 9 weeks to rule out multiples! I was vomiting so much, they thought I might be carrying twins! Hehe! There is just the one, though.

I'm seeing the midwife for the first time, this weekend. Can't wait!

Hope your appointment went well Tina!

I've just arranged my 1st appointment, quite excited. Just called the midwife, it was the same woman & she was nice this time, so its Thursday next week at home & the week after in the clinic.
