    Cool Childhood pet names

Just thought it'd be a fun idea to see what everyone's pet's were when they were kids you can put your current pet(s) names as well!

    Mine were:

-Honey Bear (she was an adorable mutt I had when i was very young)

-Gilligan (Japanese Fighting fish) get it, GILL?

-Goldie (my sister named that one lol)

-Honey Bun (my current dog since i've had since the age of 10, she's a Pembrooke Welsh Corgi)

the Honey begining to the dogs' names has kind of been a tradition I guess haha

I'd love to hear about everyone else's pets so don't be shy

I've had a Rupert, Kipling, Norbert, Nat, Pippin (Pip) and Juniper (Juni) - all cats
    Penny - dog
    Sidney - hamster

I LOVE Rupert and Sidney for boys...but I could never use them!
And I love June and Penny for girls...same problem!

Oh well, there are lots of other names out there...I guess I'll just have to be more careful not to give any pets a potentially awesome baby-name!

Ralphy - A golden hamster I named after the book series "Ralph S. Mouse". He was a stray hamster my uncle found being chased by a cat in his front yard. Not joking!

Miley - A Jack Russel-Beagel mix. Her previous owner had two daughters that named her after Miley Cyrus but we kept it the same because it was cute and it suited her well.

GiGi and Milkshakes - Two stray cats I took care of during one summer. My sis named the younger one Milkshakes after Billy's cat from the TV show The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy

Chester - A hamster that was either going to be named Charlie or Chester but my sis and I favored more towards Chester.

Suzy, Alexander, and Geraldine - A family of hamsters we rescued from a careless owner who put a male and female in the same cage. Geraldine (nn Gerry) was the only surviving hamster from Suzy and Alexander's litter.

Missy - Currently the one and only pet we have. She's a pitbull mix. She's very energetic and has a playful personality, which is why we named her Missy.

    Oh man. Canine tales, ahoy!

Piper- my six-year-old chocolate lab! He's a good boy! It took us forever to figure out his name, as my math-nerd sister and I were vying for Pi against my father who was adamant about naming the dog something that ended with "-er." So, my mother, ever the mediator, amalgamated the two and voila! Piper was born!

Daisy- my one-year-old chocolate lab. She's affectionately called "Doop. We occasionally ask if she wants to be driven somewhere.

Koda- now, this five-month-old chocolate lab pup has a very interesting (and completely un-necessitated) back-story. Piper found puppy love on Craigslist, had relations with a female named Botchi, and together they had nine beautiful puppies! We adopted Koda and, after sampling a few names such as "Wiggleburg" and "Milo", we eventually settled on this. He looks a bit like a bear cub, so this name was inspired by both Brother Bear and the kodiak bear.

My first two fish were Tom and Jerry. They were feeder fish I got a coupon for at a birthday party. We replaced Jerry several times while Tom lived almost a year.

Ginger was the orange tabby we had for 16 years, named after my mom's previous orange cat whose name was also Ginger. I was six, and thought Ginger was what you named orange cats.

When I taught preschool I had a class beta fish. The first was named Cosmos by my students. The second was named Captain Jack Sparrow. The third, by that time a pet just for my husband and I at home, was Swarley. Fans of How I Met Your Mother should get that one.

More recently, there was Hermione, a Russian dwarf hamster.

When she died after about two years we got Hamlet, also a dwarf hamster. Two days later "he" gave birth to six little hamsters and got a name change to Ophelia. All the little hamsters got names from plays or musicals. The guys were Guildenstern (Gil) and George, while the girls were Cecily, Gwendolen, Rosencrantz (Rosie), and Dot. George, Cecily, and Gil are still with us!
