I don't love any names :(
We are only in the 2nd trimester, so I have lots of time left - but I cannot for the life of me find a name that I love. I know if we have a boy that I want to use Gray as a middle name because it is my maiden name. Maybe for a girl too, if the first name is really feminine.
We announced we are expecting last night at church and then on facebook and a teen from church sent me a message with "name recommendations". She listed the boy and girl name that I have been feeling kind of positive about (Eli and Anna) and it got on my nerves. I think I'm a bit hormonal.
Anyone else having a really hard time with thinking of names? When we named Noah, my son, we both LOVED the name and had never met anyone with it (I know, it's crazy popular now). I just want to love a name as much this time.♥ Mom to Noah, joyfully expecting another boy in January '13 ♥
Currently not able to find any names that my husband and I both love :/

Cheer up! You will find something. Maybe take a break from looking for awhile. Take a walk to the park and listen for names shouted watch old movies from when you were a kid maybe something will strike your interest. Books are also a great way to get into a name. If you get connected to a character you might form a love for the name.
Good luck Mama!

I know how you feel. I have never loved any girls name, but I love so many boy names! I hope I am pregnant with a boy!
I agree with pp about taking a break. Don't overwhelm yourself with books and finding the perfect name. When you hear it or see it, you'll know its the one.
Gray is a nice first name for a boy or girl. Noah and Gray would make a good sibset! Have you thought about using it as a fn?

I understand your pain! I think part of the problem is when you look and look nothing seems new and exciting to you any longer. It's like I have seen almost every name out there. My SIL is pregnant at the same time and while I am too afraid to hear what she has picked out for names (I don't want to even tempt myself by hearing them incase I can't get them out of my head), she tells me she is so excited and absolutely loves the names that they have chosen. I really want that feeling of absolute certainty too!

I'm not pregnant but I'm always on the look out for our next child's name and I'm having the same issue. I love my daughter's name and I knew it was THE name since I was 13 or so, but when I think about another daughter all the names I thought I loved just don't feel right. Some advice though, it's really helped me in the past, talk about your name choices with your husband. Like, really sit down and have a conversation about them. When I'm kind of "Eh" on a name, but my husband really likes it... it gives me a new found appreciation for it and I start to love it. That's how we picked Rowan's middle name. I was couldn't settle on one, and we sat down and went over my list and he said "I like Jane" and immediately it felt like the perfect name. Worth a try!
My cherished daughter, Rowan Jane. ~b. 10/2011~
