    Named after deceased daughter

Sad story, but Aussie football celebrity Jarrad McVeigh and his wife Clementine lost their precious daughter Luella in infancy.
Happy news, a new baby arrived yesterday, she's healthy!
Interestingly they are naming her Lolita-Luella.
Not sure I like either name to be honest.
Not sure I would use them together hyphenated. (Try saying Lolita-Luella fast as if you're shouting it at the local playground! Made my tongue tie!)
Definately not sure I would use a deceased sister's name on a new child as part of that hyphenated first name.
Maybe as a middle name? I wonder if they will call her Lolita or Lolita-Luella?
    WDYT?

Interesting, I would have preferred Luella as a middle name as well. But Lolita? Sure, its a gorgeous name but it has some not so lovely connotations.

I also prefer Luella as a middle name.
Lolita-Luella sounds cute, but I just can't imagine Lolita as a grown up woman.

I just can't get over the book association with Lolita.

Both names are awful! Lolita is cutesy and has associations with girls who get picked on by dirty old guys, and Luella is made-up and sounds like poison.
