    Alaskan Birth Announcements

I thought you fellow Berries might be interested in these names of babies born in Anchorage, Alaska, mostly this past April, May and June. I have a long list, so I'll try to choose a cross-section to let you see what we have up this way:

    Girls:

    Aila Nan
    Alecia Ashley
    Ara Marie
    Aubrianna Mildred
    Bethany Ruth
    Brynn Mallory
    Claira Faith
    Darbee Jewel Brooke
    Eva Cate
Jenesis Lane (yes, with a J!)
    Jolie Kealan
    Kayla Riley
    Kira Ryan
Kyra Lancra (no, these three K's are not triplets)
Latrilla Faith (This is a new name to me. Has anyone seen it before?)
    Maia Jo
    Maria Victoria
Molly Marie (this one made me smile)
    Naelani Lauren
    Regan Jean
Zoe' Danielle (This one is sweet. Her daddy's name is Danny, and she was born on Fathers' Day.)

Twin girls: Maxine Ione and Kathryn Raquel

    Boys:

    Alexander Jaell
Atticus Benson (Atticus is from "To Kill a Mockingbird" and Benson is from Benny Benson, designer of the Alaskan flag.)
    Brody Montgomery
    Elliott
    Enoch
    Ethan Connor
Harper Andrew (yep, on a boy!)
    Jaxon Abren
Jefferson Jhayden (I'm so glad they put Jefferson in the fn spot! His dad's name is Jeffrey.)
    Jordan Dominiq Alii
    Kael Conrad
Kayden Ray (parents Kelly and Kyle)
    Miles Vernon
Nathan Ethan (The names are so similar, maybe they just couldn't decide! Their overall naming style isn't bad, as Nathan joins brothers Erik, Gregory and Matthew.)
    Peter Jacob
    Porter Lee
    Richard Charles IV
    Rudy Hulbert
    Sterling Christopher Alan
    Soren Argo
Xyon Adonai (if they were aiming for Zion...it doesn't really work, IMO.)

Twin boys: Walter James and Nathan Grey
"He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names."
    Psalm 147:4

    Shaking things up a bit:
Robin Maccabee ~ Bartholomew Prentice ~ Viggo Matthias
Elnora Fairlight ~ Narcissa Rose ~ Sylvie Magdalen
    Triples for fun:
Lucian Barnaby Reuel ~ Gillian Mary Lavinia ~ William Wythe Taliesin ~ Viola Guinevere Loveday ~ George Wystan Llyr

These are significantly better than the usual lists of birth announcements on Nameberry (which I love, good and bad -- it's always useful to see what people are actually naming their children). I'm particularly intrigued to see Sterling, Soren, and Walter: all winners.

    Aila Nan - Ailment? I don't like.
Alecia Ashley - bleh, 90's and spelled wrong
Ara Marie - I prefer Aria and Maria is a bit boring
Aubrianna Mildred - different, I don't hate it, but I don't particularly like it either -
Bethany Ruth - pretty and simple and classic. I like this one a lot!
Brynn Mallory - I like it! Kinda preppy/sporty
Claira Faith - The name itself is very pretty, but I prefer the spelling Clara, more streamlined and traditional
Darbee Jewel Brooke - I actually like like the name Darby, but the spelling and Jewel kinda make me wanna gag.
Eva Cate - I like, it's different but simple and pretty
Jenesis Lane - I actually don’t hate it, I wouldn't choose it but it's kinda nice
Kira Ryan/Kyra Lancra - I don't mind the name Kira. Didn't realize it was getting popular.
Latrilla Faith - don't like it
Maia Jo - interesting. Don't hate it, but meh
Maria Victoria - snore, I guess it's very classic but it's just so dull
Molly Marie - lovely, this is how you use a classic like Marie, with flair!
Naelani Lauren - different, I've heard Laelani but not Naelani, I think I'd prefer Maelani
Regan Jean - I've been liking Regan more and more lately
Zoe' Danielle - cute, not spectactular

Twin girls: Maxine Ione and Kathryn Raquel - very unbalanced set

Alexander Jaell - Alexander is okay, Jaell looks like Jail
Atticus Benson - meh, not terrible.
Brody Montgomery - I love Montgomery, Brody isn't bad
    Enoch - interesting
Harper Andrew - I prefer Harper on a boy
Jaxon Abren - Jaxon doesn't bother me, I don't love it, but it's okay
Jefferson Jhayden - meh to Jefferson, bleh to Jhayden
Kael Conrad - hmm, kinda sorta like it
    Kayden Ray - meh
Miles Vernon - Miles is a nice name, hopefully Vernon is a family name
Nathan Ethan - fun, sorta quirky
    Porter Lee -okay
Rudy Hulbert - yikes, I'm afraid that's rather dorky, hope he's cute
Sterling Christopher Alan - I'm not fond of Sterling for boys, especially as a first
Soren Argo - ruler of the 3rd kingdom of Asphodel
Xyon Adonai - I'd prefer Zion
