    Suri

WDYT? I first heard the name Suri in the movie Dinosaur and thought it was cute. Any middle names for it? Suri Cruise doesn't faze me one bit, just to let you know. I also love Suri on a boy, but don't think I'd use it for one.

I love Suri but for me it's just too tied to Suri Cruise. If that's not a problem for you, then go ahead and use it. I would absolutely love to see this name on a little girl! I see that you have Faline in your signature, another name I adore.

Suri is nice. I'm glad that "Suri Cruise" doesn't faze you. It annoys me when people say "oh I can't use that because of X famous person".
Because it is quite an unusual and also quite short, I think a more traditional middle or slightly longer one would fit really well.
    Suri Elizabeth
    Suri Catherine
    Suri Genevieve
    Suri Olivia
Suri Angharad (well,it's traditional in Wales lol )
    Suri Meredith

I mean longer as in 3 or more syllables btw

I agreed Suri is a nice and cute name. But I'm afraid people would link it to Suri Cruise all the time. But if it doesn't bothers you at all, it's a name u can consider using it.

I think of Suri Cruise. Aside from that it reminds me of Cheri & Suki so for some reason I picture a cute little half French half Asian girl. Suri Virginia Suri Beatrice Suri Helena?

wait you asked what people think but you don't care if Suri Cruise has the name first and is famous for it...then what's the problem...use it...most and I do mean most people will always think of Suri Cruise especially since that couple is back in the news in a big way with their divorce...so if you had a baby named that on the heels of that people might say things like "oh did the space ship drop her off or did you birth her in a hospital..." or "I hope THIS Suri's parents don't break up..." ya know cus people associate it with that couple....

anyway even when Katie HOlmes used it 5 years ago I instantly thought of Syrup and Slur but hey, if you like it ...then just go for it.

Suri means princess, it's not a name I would saddle a boy with. Personally it's so tied to Suri Cruise that I wouldn't use it because I think it would be a pain to deal with the inevitable Suri cruise comments they will hear.

I understand that some people aren't fazed by the use famous babies names but I think you should ask yourself is my child going to get sick of the comparisons, questions and comments? Will they resent me for it?

I taught a girl whose name was Surina. Just thought I'd throw that out there as an option if you like Suri.
