A lot of my favorite names are being used by friends and peers (Margo[t] was the one that really killed me) so I'm constantly having to revamp. Is it bad that I cringe when I find out another friend/relative is pregnant, and feel relieved when they name their kid Isabella or something I wouldn't use anyway?

Otherwise, a lot of names I liked when I was younger are finally becoming "acceptable" names now, and some are even slightly trendy. Arabella? Yeah, I'm not doing anything with a "-bella". I found a high school name list (it's circa 2001-2002) that has my musings on middle names for Magnolia (apparently I was considering Tamsin, Hope, Belle, Estelle, and Josette.) Others on the list: Aurelia, Avalie (what?), Azalea, Cerelia, Chenoa, Cheredith (what??), Emette (gross!), Fable, Galatea, Keziah, Montgomery (yes, for a girl), and Nereia. I definitely grew out of these, even though I still have a soft spot for Aurelia, Azalea, Cerelia, Fable, and Galatea.

I think my boys names are what have evolved the most. On the same list as Magnolia are: Griffith, Dorian Beau, Corrigan, Zebedy, and Ezekiel Colin. I wouldn't use any of those!

Some of them remain constant favorites, or at least make the "like" list, names like Sonya. Others fizzled out, like Xanadu or Figaro. The name that seems to be somewhere between the two is Charlene. I still have a bit of a soft spot for it, but can't see myself really using it.
    ~Favorites of the moment~

Girls: Sonya, Caroline, Sakura, Carmilla, Terra
Boys: Conrad, Fain, Marcelo, Serge, Isidoro

My first name loves at the age of about eight were Charlotte and Emmeline. I still love them, but now I have a cousin named Emma and Charlotte is so wildly popular I've had to knock them down a few pegs on my list. I still love Georgiana, but if a could justify it Charlotte and Emmeline would be at the top of my list.

Hudson was never on my list until I met my fiance. The name Dean however was on my list for years. I think I fell in love with it when I was 16. Many of my girl names are still on my list but many have gotten vetoed by my fiance.

I loved Sara. Every stuffy and doll was named that! It's evolved into Seraphina now, since it's not as expected or over used, but unfortunately there is already a Sarah in the family, and the names are just too close. I also always loved Charlotte and Ava, (after reading Ava Gardner's autobiography at 12) but they are way too popular now that I wouldnt' use them. For boys Charles and Max are still faves, but I'm leaning more towards Elliott (Eli) and Noah now. I also love Marlowe (I studied renaissance lit) and Stillwell (grandmother's maiden name). Hubby is a cowboy though so Chances are we'll have a Brooks or a Remington for a boy and something classic like Georgia or Maybelle for a girl.

I used to love the name Krista growing up, and would always make that my name when playing make-believe with my friends. And I loved the name Zack for a boy... but I am not a huge fan of either of those names anymore... sometime in highschool I migrated over to loving the name Claudia (with Italian pronunciation, -clow-dee-uh) (or for a boy, Claudio) and Leonardo, and I still love them. Though not many people like the name Claudia and Leo has become so popular... My lists keep getting shorter and shorter!

My favorite girl names were Josephine and Geneva. Josephine still resides on a subconscious list somewhere.
