Henry or Jasper?
We have DS3 due in September, and DH has decided 'he' gets to name this little one. His current top pick is Jasper Daniel, which I am only so-so on. I have a good friend (currently overseas) with a Jasper and another one in my mother's group. I don't mind the middle name, as DH's middle name is also Daniel, and I do like the longer nature of it as we have a 2 syllable last name. I can't help leaning toward Henry (Henry James, in particular) at the moment due to its sound and it being a character in one of my favourite novels. Any support for either name, or suggestions for alternates? Our first two sons are Felix Harrison and Owen Elliot, so something sounding somewhat in the same vein (not too modern or non-standard spellings) would be best.

With Felix and Owen, I think both Jasper and Henry would be perfect! Would you consider meshing your options? Henry Jasper? Or Henry Daniel? That way he'd get to keep at least one of his choices but you'd still get Henry.
I agree that Henry James is too much of the writer for me. Maybe another literary tie? My first thought was Henry Willoughby--I discovered it in my family tree several months ago, and I love the ties to both Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Jane Austen's John Willoughby.
I think something like Henry Oscar, Henry Sebastian, Henry Conrad, Henry Algernon, Henry Charles, Henry Oliver, etc. could also be great literary combos.
Good luck!Ashley
