If I were able to have another daughter, I would definitely use the name Helen. I love the name. It is simple, graceful, and classic. Lots of nns for a small child -- Nell, Nellie, Lena, Ellie -- and then a beautiful name for an adult woman.

I have an Aunt Helen so I think it works on a baby and a grown up, I can see it making a comeback.

Helen is an all-time classic, in my opinion, and I prefer the traditional name over all the variants, although I do love the Greek Eleni.

Helen is a great name and I think it's already coming back. I know a young lady in her early twenties with that name and it's perfect on her. She is very lady-like and serious, but cool and into yoga and stuff at the same time.

I love Helen. It's lovely and classic and so pretty. One of my friends has a daughter named Helen (she's 17 now) and I have to admit I was a little taken aback when she named her that. But I cannot imagine her being named anything differently now. She's a cool girl- really, really smart and witty and very into music.

Helen is definitely ready for a comeback.

    Best wishes!

It's a bit heavy for a child. I knew a Helen when I was younger and she hated her name. I like Helena "hel-lay-na"

Its a goregous name rich with history. My Nanna is a Helen and I love her name, I would consider naming a future daughter after her or using the variant Helena.

    The Ever-Changing List:

Eleanor | Isobel | Susanna "Sosie" | Lydia | Claire

Theon | Ezra | Alexander "Xan" | Gideon | Kit

Helen is my mothers name so I've always seen it as a name for a grown woman and I've never heard it on a teenager or young girl, but I definitely think that it could work though. It sounds very sophisticated.
