Opinions Please - Help find a name for Jasper's baby brother...
Hi all! I'm 27.5 weeks pregnant and at a loss with boys names. Our daughter's name is Jasper Harlow (last name beginning with a J, 3 syllables) and we would like to come up with a fitting name for baby boy that works well with Jasper.
Unfortunately there is a J Name "tradition" (using that word loosely since my husband is the ONLY grandchild carrying this "tradition" on...). So the first name has to start with a J.
So far we have come up with JUDE and JUDSON (nn Jud). My fav is Jude, however my husband isn't convinced with either of them. I would go with James, but that is my husbands name and we know his family will not call the baby "james" but rather something like: lil' jim, lil' jimmy, etc. So that is off the table. I have a horrible issue with name associations and we have found that i know someone with every J name in the book. and I do love Jack and Jackson (both grandfathers names are Jack) but I cannot go there b/c they are TOO POPULAR right now and my husband is adamant about not having a super popular name (i'm with him on this one).
My issue right now is middle names and which one of these names will go best with Jude or Judson (and which one of those names do you like best? afraid that jude is becoming too popular....afraid that judson sounds a bit "country").
Middle names (we have an "artist" thing going for many of these...which is where our daughters name came from also):
WILLEM
BIX - this is my husbands fav (Jude Bix I think is his first choice at this point. i like it but worried about the 1/1/3)
CY
THERON - i'm not sure this is even on the list anymore...but i'm keeping it on there for the moment.
KLEIN
ELLSWORTH
WALTER - husband isn't a fan of this one but i just keep adding it back on b/c i love the nn Walt
