40wks Just decided name but need help with spelling!
I need help! I'm already over due and we finally settle on a name yesterday but we still need to figure out how to spell it. We are naming our son Demetrius Quinn. I really liked Dimitri but my husband likes Demetrius. We are going with Demetrius but I may shorten it (and I'm thinking lots of other people will too since it's a long name). So the question is how do we spell it? Demetrius or Dimitrius? I don't like weird spellings but I want it to be convenient to shorten and easy for people to figure out how to pronounce his name. Please help! Thanks.

My favourite short form is Dmitri and my favourite long form is Demetrius. So I'd spell it Demetrius. Nothing especially appealing about building "dim" right into the name, if you know what I mean.
Can always call him Dmitri/Dimitri for short, though my way is shorter.
Its a great, strong name, I love it in all its forms.
