    I'd say Kaira.

To me Ky is kih and Kai is k/eye

Maybe Kyrah? With the h at the end I might be more likely to use a long i sound for the y.

Kyra is a beautiful name with Greek roots pn. as KIRRA. The debate on spelling vs. pronunciation are for people who seem not to know or care (which is fine), but the beauty of this name (to its users) is its meaning, sound and look as a whole.

Simple search: "Kira is an female given name of ancient origin and multiple etymological derivations.

The girl's name Kyra is pronounced /ˈkɪərə/ KEER-ə. It is a form of the name Kiran, pronounced /ˈkɪərən/ KEER-ən. Kiran is of Hindi and Sanskrit origin, meaning "beam of light". From Sanskrit, it evolved to the Persian[1] and Egyptian word Ki-Ra for "like Ra, the sun" and later to ancient Greek where its meaning became "lady" (male name Kyros (see Kyrie), meaning "lord"). A short form of kyria, κυρία, the Greek title of respect for a woman.[2]

The word Sire for addressing royalty in western European languages is a modern variant of it. Therefore it can also be used as a female form of Cyril. In Slavonic, it means "strong woman".

I would think it was spelled Kyra, as the girls I know who pronounce their names this way spell it Kyra or Kira. Some of them also pronounce it "keer-ah".

There are four girls who say their name this way at my school, and they spell it Kyra, Kira, or Kiera/Keira (Not sure which). I think all three work.

@etoile, that's all true, about the correct Greek pronunciation of Kyra, but if I had to guess how someone I didn't know was possibly spelling a name they were saying keye-rah, I'd still guess "Kyra" - and I know bunches of girls that would work on.

I mean it could be spelt any number of ways, and I have my preferences such as they are, but Kyra is a very common one in my experience.
