    After all of that!

So after all of my hard work -- and yours -- of coming up with cowboy names to go with Jesse, my husband axed them all. The only names we can agree on are: Simon, Oscar and Milo. My favorite out of the bunch is Oscar by far. But does Oscar Altomari sound ridiculous? That's the only part I'm hesitant about. Here are the middles I've come up with for all three, please tell me which one you like best:

    Simon Anthony

    Oscar Sebastian
    Oscar Francesco
    Oscar Milo

    Milo Sebastian

Jesse's middle name is Valentino, so we wanted an Italian middle name for the next kid too.
Thanks for all of your help everybody! I love reading what you all have to say. And thank you so much for the positive feedback on the name Jesse. There are days that I'm still a little unsure about it.

I like Sebastian. So either Oscar Sebastian or Milo Sebastian.

Thank you so much for posting. I think you're right. But my biggest question is: Does Oscar Altomari sound bad?? I go back and forth.

Oscar definitely doesn't have the same vibe as Jesse, in my opinion. I think Milo is a much better fit. Oscar Altomari doesn't sound bad, just a little mismatched, because Oscar kinda has a German sound to me and Altomari definitely sounds Italian. But I've know plenty of people with a French first name and Italian last name, Irish first name with a Chinese last name, etc. It doesn't really matter.

I don't know if it matters, but I don't think Milo is an Italian name. It's origin is Slavic (Eastern European).

I actually think Oscar sounds better with your surname!

Definitely Simon. I just can't get on the Oscar bandwagon.

Simon is the closest to Jesse stylistically. Jesse and Oscar or Jesse and Milo just sounds really weird to me.

Jesse & Simon do sound best. My favorite is Oscar, though. I wish I talked to you guys before I named Jesse!! He would have been Oscar. I just thought Oscar Altomari didn't sound right, not that Jesse Altomari sounds the best. ARGHHH!!

    Jesse & Milo
I think Milo goes best with both your last name and with Jesse (which I love). Simon sounds too stuffy/serious next to Jesse

You know, I never thought of that. Jesse is a fun loving type of name, Simon isn't.
What do you guys like better -- Jesse & Milo, Jesse & Max, Jesse & Gus? I love Gus, but my husband isn't on board. I'm hoping to convince him.
