    Masculine girls name......anyone????

Hello I am 20 weeks preg (not finding out the sex) and cannot find ANYTHING (girl) that my DH has said more than maybe to. I am at the point that I am suggesting names that I don't love just to see if I can get some sort of reaction other than "Hmm.. Maybe I mean it's okay..." our boys name is Henry Jon a combo of our fathers middle names. I love Henry although it has become way too popular for me I love that connection and DH LOVES the name and will not consider anything else. we also have a daughter Kameryn. I want something that will compliment her name but I do not want a theme at all. I want each child to be an indavidual. Also I am no longer into the unique spelling.
I have posted several time asking for opinions on my top girl names and I know that most berries are not fond of the masculine names but I just can't believe I am the only berrie who is. Please help me find something other than what I have been reading over and over.

    Our girls list:
Madden Harvest - I am not dead set on the combo but he really likes Harvest and I love Madden.
Presley- no middle name yet Marie is our go to middle name (both our mothers middle names) but Presley Marie really???
Shiloh - I am not drooling over the name and dont like the Jolie Pitt association but he said oow that's not bad so I'm keeping it on my list nn Loh?
Layla Marie or Harvest - too popular for me but DH thinks its cute so... Maybe
Etta Josephine or Marie - love love love but not enought of a name for me so again... Maybe
Finley Marie - I loved this prior preg and now I just like a lot.
Jolie Marie - one of our faves it has a family connection but I know a 3 yr old Jolie and have a couple ppl in our fam who would like to use this someday and I am not into name stealing .
Mabel - he suggested I like but do picture the baby inside me as a Mabel .

Please help!!!! I am looking for new suggestions and comments on what we have. If you hate the idea of masculine names which is mainly my style then please don't try to talk me out of it. That's not what I am looking for. I have read just about every list imaginable and feel like I am ready the same classic feminine names. I don't like common and I'm getting burnt out from Charlotte, Lucy, Evelyn, Sophia.... which I do love but for someone else, not me. Thank you !!

    My thoughts on your list:
I LOVE Etta, especially paired with Josephine. This is a real winner!!
I Like: Mabel, Layla...both really cute.
I think they're okay: Finley, Jolie (I prefer Joelle).
I don't like: Madden (she'll be mistaken for that crowd of Maddies!), Presley (too much Elvis, plus I know a girl by this name, and she gets teased so much about that Elvis thing that she insists on going my her middle name, Twila...and she's only 7!), and Shiloh.

Are you looking for masculine girls names? Or unisex names? Or just something not too over-done?

"Masculine" names that could suit a girl:
    - Hunter...not my taste, but I know a girl of about 10 named Hunter, and she wears it very well. She is smart and pretty.
    - Spencer
    - Blake
    - Chase...again, not my style at all, but I knew a little girl, aged 4, named Chase and it suited her.
    - Charlie

Girls names/unisex names that aren't girly:
    - Sloane
    - Greer
    - Shae
    - Avery
    - Morgan
    - Rowan
    - Reese

Names that I don't think are prissy/girly, but that ARE unquestionable girls' names (and that aren't too over-done!):
    - Tess/Tessa
    - Claire - my own name...I like that it's simple with no nickname, and isn't frilly.
    - Bridget
    - Maren...my cousin's name, she loves it for the same reasons I love my own name. Plus, it's a little different. Her name is spelled "Merryn" though
    - Erin...not over-used at all these days, and definitely not frilly, in my opinion anyway
    - Willa

I hope this helps, and that I haven't misunderstood what you were asking for.

Hi! I like the idea of using masculine names for girls, but the names are usually on the softer side.
Madden and Presley are too hard for me. Shiloh does make me think of the Jolie-Pitt's too. Etta Josephine is nice, better than Etta Marie. Finley Marie is by far the best name IMO. Mabel sounds like an old lady or a cow (sorry).

Okay, so it looks like Harvest, Marie, and Josephine are the suggested MN. Do you have any other names that could work are MN? Since Marie is the go to I'll use that in my suggestions.

    Sinclair Marie
    Connelly Marie
    Delaney Josephine
    Hanan Marie
    Carrington Marie
    Auden Josephine
    Lachlan Marie
    Cillian Marie
    Rue Marie
    Ceylon Josephine
    Cyrus Marie
    Ara Josephine
    Amari Josephine
    Rhys Marie
    Torin Marie
    Bryce Josephine

Idk if any of those would work. But I think they sound nice.

Hi -- Well, I like masculine names for girls and so my first suggestion would be my own daughter's name:

    Rory

Rory is a name -- in the UK a boys' name but in the US used equally for both sexes -- it its own right and does not need to be lengthened or changed into anything else. I do think both Shiloh and Jolie have very strong Brangelina associations. And Madden to me is football video games -- so macho and then, yes, shortened to the oh-so-ordinary Maddy. So I think you can do better.

Have you clicked on the Unisex Names tab on our home page? http://nameberry.com/search/unisex_names This will give you THOUSANDS of ideas.

Some other thoughts of names in this style you might like and that would work well with Kameryn. I'll repeat a few of the earlier excellent ideas:

    Amory
    Ashby
    Brinley
    Delaney
    Devon
    Domino
    Dylan
    Elliot
    Flannery
    Gardener
    Hartley
    Haven
    Hollis
    Indigo
    Jensen
    Juniper
    Marlow
    Mirren
    Merrit
    Norris
    Oakley
    Raleigh
    Remi
    Romy
    Quinn
    Sheridan
    Sierra
    Teagan
    Tiernan

Let us know what you think. And if he just grunts in response to all those, send him over to my house for a lecture.

A name I'm thinking of (and have been a lot lately) for a girl, is Felix. Good luck in whatever you decide!! You've gotten some great suggestions so far

I have to laugh at your comment because I just suggested a few from your list and he said hmmm. I told him I'm going to hit him over the head with the iPad! I guess I'll name the baby in my own

I really like Shiloh! I think that would be a good choice. Finley and Layla are alright too, although I prefer the spelling Leila. I was going to suggest Camryn, but I see you already have a variation of that. Here are some other masculine ones that aren't horribly popular:

    Sterling
    Ryan
    Carson
Mason (I don't like it for a girl but I do know a girl with this name)
    Reese (Rhys is masculine)
    Micah
Alexandra, with Alex as a masculine/unisex nickname
    Cassidy
    Quinn
    Casey
    Laken
I don't have or want any kids. I just love names!

Top 10: Andrea, Chelsea, Tara, Brooke, Alexandra, Nathaniel, Cody, Grant, Alexander, Graham

I also love Russian and Irish names, as well as the names of many cities and countries.

Madden makes me think of maddening, as in something driving you crazy/mad
From you list I like Layla and Etta, but not sure they go with Kameryn. Don't like Finley but it work's with big sis's name

My favorite "masculine" girl names are legit female or unisex names but I think most would think they were boy names
    Wallis
    Deryn
    Garland
    Dorian
    Hollis
    Linden
    Idris
    Merritt
    Dalis

    Shea * Ashley * Jade * Azure * Shiah * Greer * Blaise * Pallas
    Lotus * Tallulah * Noor * Fox * Jasper * Linden * Arden * Adair

LOVE Etta Josephine, it's adorable, and you can always call her Jo or Josie as a nickname.
LIKE Presley and Jolie. Both are on my list, Presley with mn Eloise (not sure if you like that) and Jolie as a middle name (I love the meaning of pretty in french, but not the association with Angelina Jolie which she would always get with it as a fn).

More masculine/unisex names I like (ignore repeats):
    Austen
    Emerson
    Sutton
    Arden
    Tallin
    Ellison
    Mercer
    Madigan
    Aspen
    Fallon
    Teagan
    Tatum
    Ashby
    Jean
    Spencer
    Tyler
    Mikah
    Riley
    Tristan
    Stanton
    Peyton
Catherine, an actress, dancer, singer, brainiac with a guilty pleasure of names.
Current favorites: Lilliana Joy, Marley Sophia, Isabella Diane, Gabrielle Jolie, Charlotte Amelia, Callista Berlin, Hope Adrienne, Isis Amelie, Austen Elisabeth, Jetta Blue; Wesley Owen, Benson Chase, Matthew Keaton, Brandon Kyle, Carson Gabriel, Elias Marshall, Anderson Cade, Xander Hale, Josiah Henry, Spencer Steven
