Honest opinions please!

Dex: Feels like it's trying too hard to be Max.

Desmond: Too 50's loser vibe.

Locke: Don't like the emotional implications of this name.

Pierce: Ditto with Locke.

Jonas: This is the one I voted for. I love the old-fashioned, gentlemanly feel and peaceful meaning (as an above poster said).

Hayden: My second favorite.

Tru: I'd prefer Truman, nn'd Tru, but nms.

Dex- I don't like it as a stand alone, I think of the Dex phonebook. Dexter is OK, not crazy about it, prefer Dax/Daz
Desmond- not my style but love the nn Dez/Desi
Locke- it's OK, nothing special to me
Pierce- I prefer the softer Piers
Jonas- same as Locke, prefer Jonah
Hayden- tired of it, it goes with they Aiden trend, I know several male & female
Tru- prefer this spelling for a girl, I like True for boys

I like Pierce the most. If Dex had been Dexter, I might have voted for it instead.

Desmond is my favorite. It's on my list for boys. I think it sounds handsome and smart.

I love Jonas! That got my vote. I love how it's quirky, laid-back, literary, and charming all at once. I think it's a great pick. Locke was my second favorite, and Desmond gets honorary mention.

Dex - A bit loaded with drug references, and a bit nicknamish, wish this were Dexter.
Desmond - Okay, a bit old-mannish, but pleasant. I'm actually surprised how much I like it.
Locke - John Locke is cool but his last name isn't a first name to me.
Pierce - Got my vote, but I'd prefer Piers.
Jonas - Not as classic as Jonah to me, plus the Jonas Bros.
Hayden - I like this, almost voted for it instead of Pierce. But it has that predictable -ayden sound that's so right-now. It's the nicest of the -aydens though.
Tru - Unfortunately like Pru and Dru I hear/read it as feminine.

I like Pierce and Hayden the best. Dexter would be fighting for one of the top spots, but Dex doesn't.
