Farrah: I like this, and think it's been long enough since Farrah Fawcett was uber-popular that it's no longer automatically associated with her
Svetlana: Um, NMS. Makes me think of a spy.
Immy: Not a huge fan, but interested to see what you decide on to get to this as a nickname
Zelda: I do love this one. If you're not convinced, what is it about Zelda that you like? Maybe that wil help lead to one you love.

Farrah: Makes me think of the teen mom. I used to love it when I was in highschool.
Svetlana: I'm sorry, but I hate this. Waaaay too guilty pleasure-ish to use IRL. Its pretty, but unfortunately sounds like a hooker.
Better options:
Svea
Ventana
Pettrina
Carina
Immy: could be a cute NN.
Imelda
Imena
Imogene-I know you don't like Imogen, but I feel like the two pronunciations are so different.
Seraphim
Wilhelmina
Crimson
Primrose
Maxima
Kimber
Timber
Jemima
Or you could always do something with the initials, IE: Isla Margaret, Iris Marie, Ingrid Maxwelle. All could have the nn Immy.
Zelda: I immediately think of the video game or the character from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. It's just too fantasy related for my taste.Last edited by sugarfoot; June 30th, 2012 at 05:44 AM.

Zelda is my favorite on your list. I didn't know about the comic book--I immediately thought of Zelda Fitzgerald- F Scott Fitzgerald's wife and the Great Gatsby
Good luck!

Farrah: I think this is really, really pretty. My favourite from this list.
Svetlana: I don't like the "svet" sound. The Lana part is pretty.
Immy: Cute nn, and I'm not fond of Imogen either. The only other name that starts with "Im" I can think of is Imelda. Which rhymes with Zelda! So, maybe you'll like it!
Other ideas (these are a bit more of a stretch than Imogen or Imelda, but here goes):
Kimberly nn Immy
Simone nn Immy
Imara nn Immy
I can't think of anything else!!
Zelda: I like this, but as someone who doesn't play videogames, I still associate it with a video game! Other Z names...Zara, Zola, Zinnia...and Imelda is similar too!

Farrah: I think of the late actress Farrah Fawcett (big hair and teeth). Fawcett's mother supposedly made up her name. I prefer the Arabic spelling of Farah which is a real name. It has a pretty sound and it's not overused.
Svetlana: This name is Russian not Swedish. It's exotic but I think the "Svet" part isn't really that pretty.
Russian names: Anastasia, Natalia/Natasha, Tatiana, Oksana,Olga, Vera, Larissa/Lara, Anya, Ludmilla, Raisa, Sonia, Valentina, Tania/Tanya, Irina, Hana, Galina, Daria, Alina, Aleksandra and Nadezhda.
Swedish names: Greta, Frida, Linnea, Sonja, Siri, Thora, Svea, Signe, Ingrid, Freya, Astrid, Britt and Annika.
Immy: Too nicknamey for a full name. Not my favourite nn either.
Zelda: I think of the literary association with F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife Zelda more than anything else. How about Zola, Zara, Zillah or Zilpha? All the best,
Mischa.
