Do you like the name "Emerson"?

Also if you do like it, what middle name would go good with it?
    Thanks Berries!

I do like Emerson, but it's become so female to me due to hearing about all the little Emerson Roses running around.
It's different from Madison in that it sounds softer, coupled with the nickname Em.

I think with a name like Emerson a stronger middle is needed on a boy.
    Such as:
    Emerson Alexander
    Emerson Richard
    Emerson David
    Emerson Garrett
    2O - Aries - Slytherin - Daycare Assistant Teacher

    Names of the moment:

    Adriana | Alena | Laurel
    {Adriana Laurel}

Oh wow, I still don't see this as a girls name at all - have to completely disagree with the earlier posters. I do quite like it though. I think it's very handsome. I'm not very good with middle name though - sorry!
Switching careers and becoming an RN! Sadly mommy plans will have to wait until that's done. Still loving names though!

I love Emerson! It was a huge consideration for my short list, but I liked Everett and Grayson more, and they were too similar to Emerson for me.

I had really liked Emerson Calvin Gray and Emerson Leo Gray and Emerson Thomas Gray for combos. If you only want one MN, I think Emerson Thomas or Emerson James would be great.

    Good luck!

I'm not crazy about Emerson....on either gender. I don't like the nn Em/Emmy for a boy. I think it would make a better middle name than first name.

But here are some mn suggestions:

    Emerson James
    Emerson Daniel
    Emerson Maxwell
    Emerson Jacob
    Emerson Paul
    Emerson Andrew

I like the sound of it, but in real life I don't feel like it's super usable as there are no nicknames.

I definitely prefer it for a boy instead of a girl though.

I love Emerson on a boy. It reminds me of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Who said Emerson has to have a nickname? Why can't he just be Emerson?

Emerson Thomas was the first name that came to mind. Emerson Paul, Emerson Jacob, Emerson Adam, Emerson David, Emerson Henry, Emerson Charles?

It reminds me of Emerson Fittipaldi, we're big car people, so that's where my mind goes, also Ralph Waldo Emerson - both make the name feel very masculine and I find it very handsome. I really hate seeing it on a girl.

Felix Emerson is on my list.

    Middles.....

    Emerson Charles
    Emerson Josiah
    Emerson Isaac
    Emerson Jude
    Emerson Theodore
    Emerson August

It's not a requirement, but I personally have a 3 syllable name and can't imagine having no way to shorten it. It would be really unwieldy and just feel so formal all the time.
