Liv or ways to get to it... And other questions:)

Hi berries I love the simplicity of Liv, but other times I feel its TO simple. And it sometimes seems like I am just saying "live". Haha! Say shes a doctor someday, I can see the irony WDYT of this simple name? Would there be to much built in teasing (live/die)? Or am I overthinking? I know kids, especially adolescents, are downright idiotic...

Is there another way to get to the nickname Liv... BESIDES OLIVIA? I cannot use Olivia, or Livia, its a very close friends DD's name. DH isnt' a fan of Livienne or Liviana. I honestly don't think theres any others, is there? Also, I personally detest Livinia/Lavinia so not that one!

Its honestly becoming quickly a situation where we just can't think of any other names we like more than Fiona or Daphne, but those have been on our list for SO long that I want to make sure we aren't just being closeminded... I want to explore all my name loves

I also ADORE Libby, but not sure it makes a complete full name? Does it sound silly or nicknamey? I do not like Elizabeth or Liberty or any of the Elizabeth spin-offs (Lizbeth for example). See what a difficult person I am??

Honestly, every name has some teasing potential because kids are creative and determined.
Liv has very little, and it's not that big of a deal imo.

My grandmother's name is Levene, so perhaps you'd like that? Maybe Livene?

Libby is definitely nicknamey, it lacks the substance to be a first name imo.

The Scandinavian name Liv is pronounced "leev" so I'm not getting the teasing potential of the name. I would just go with Liv.

    Oliva
    Olivine
    Olivera
    Livana/Livona
    Levity
    Livingston (too masculine?)
Evangeline (has all three letters in it)
    All the best,
    Mischa.

I love Liv! What about Olive or Livana? I know Livana is similar to Liviana, but Livana appeals to me so much more, for some reason. there's also Olivie, which is the French form of Olivia, I believe, but I don't know if that's too close to your friend's baby's name.

What about using an Li FN and a "V" mn, or an L fn with an "Iv" MN? Like Lorelei Ivy nn Liv, or Liliana Verity, nn Liv? Since just Liv is a form of Elizabeth, I think you could use any form of Elizabeth to get to Liv, too--Eliza, Elise, Elisabetta, Elisabella, Lisette, etc.

    Good luck!

How about Livette? Alivia too close to Olivia? Personally love Olivia/Olive but understand youe reasoning behind not uaing it. Liviana is also very lovely!

A few more ideas for you here:
    Alivia
    Aveline
    Olivi
    Oliviane/Olivianna
    Olivine
Lisavetta (or with a z instead of an s)
    Elvera or Elvira
    Lavender
    Evelyn
    Evelina
    Liva (Icelandic for lark)
    Verily

I think Liv is a lovely name and I'm sure you'll come up with a great Olivia/Elisabeth alternative.
