I agree that Gabriel Lucia and Angelo sound cool together but my problem with Angelo is that it feels maybe too long and fluffy to use on a regular basis (for me) but I can't think of a good nick name for it. Can you think of anything else with a similar ring and feel with the other two? The rest, all on the right vibe for sure, just not sure I'm finding "the" name. I think Oscar is cool but how do you think it is in real life usage? Whenever I've suggested it people say "....the grouch" of course....

yes we usually call them Gabe and Lucy or Gabe and Luz. Zachary was one on our list that I forgot to mention though someone told me they thought of all Zachs as between 25 and 40 years old. Not that it's all that important I guess.

I do automatically think of the grouch when I hear Oscar (or Oscar Meyer Weiner's lol), sorry. I think Zachary is a great name. I actually don't know that many of them. What about Adrian?

We have basically the same requirements in names (I remember responding to a thread of yours a few months back). Though I usually say we want a name that works in English and Spanish, what I really want is a name that is also international as well. We chose Sebastian to go with our Lucia because it is a name that is heard all over Europe (French, German, English, Spanish, etc.) just like Lucia is. I think the "saint names" category of names is a good place to look because they end up being pretty international.

I think Oscar, Tomas, Nicolas, and Sebastian fit best with the Spanish/English AND international requirement. Felix (our pick for #3) would also work well.

Of your other choices listed, I really like Elias and Efrain - neither of them are super easy in English but definitely do-able. Efrain would be harder than Elias to explain to English speakers. The others on your list are also nice.

All of these names sound great with Gabriel and Lucia.

With Roberto I like Nicolas Roberto, Elias Roberto, and Tomas Roberto the most.
    Lucía, Sebastián, & Inés
Next: Eloísa Pilar or Félix Ignacio

thanks Nicholas is Gabriel's middle name (my Dads name) so it's out unfortunately. Elias is becoming a big contender for me because it seems to meet most/all of the criteria. Do I LOVE it? Not sure...Not sure I love love anything yet Hoping I either find something that I love or that Elias or another name starts to grow on me more. Thomas is a family name for us as well so Tomas would make sense but it still feels not as international as I'd like being prn. ToMAS, everyone in the US would just say Thomas, and I don't love Tom or Tommy... I think Efrain is too hard for English speakers as well so it's probably out. Felix is super cute but I worry about Felix the cat or-- it feels like a cat name to me even though I love that it means happy.
