One-syllable name with a one-syllable surname - would you do it?

So I love the name Claire, and it's currently on my list of names for when I can legally change my current name, which I hate. However, I plan to keep my surname, which is one syllable, and since my first name is also one syllable the names sound choppy together and it wouldn't be much of an improvement. I do like Clara, which would solve the syllable problem, but not as much as Claire.

If you were in the situation where you had a one-syllable surname and loved a one-syllable first name, what would you do? Use the name regardless of the flow, or just not use it at all?

If it influences it at all, my surname is similar to Flint. How does Claire Flint sound?
Boys: Leo * Edward * Alasdair * Ian * Malcolm

Girls: Sophie * Alana * Meredith * Fiona * Claire

In theory I don't have a problem with this. I have a friend with the name Anne Lee, which sounds fine...my personal taste in names runs to the more quirky, but I don't think 1:1 sounds bad.

I think it can work as long as the end of the first name isn't the same as the start of the surname. Claire Flint and Anne Lee both work, but something like Jack Cole doesn't work so much as you have to either put an unnatural pause between both names or end up rolling it into Jackole.

I would use it regardless! I actually don't really mind the 1-1 syllable flow, haha, although it could be because my grandmother's FN and MN were both one syllable. I think Claire Flint sounds great!

John Smith is 1:1, and it's the most common name ever! Haha, so I'd use a 1:1 combo if it sounded okay. Claire Flint sounds fine to me

I think it sounds fine! One syllable first and last names sound really energetic to me.

I actually really like short names. Long can be elegant, but there's an elegance in simplicity as well.

Clair Flint is a beautiful name in my opinion.
