Name entries an opinions
Hi, I am wondering about the name entries and the opinions that come with the descriptions of names. It seems Nameberry has decided that some names have a certain feel, or are dated, and I guess I feel like that's a matter of opinion. Should opinion be a part of the entries? Just food for thought.
thanks.

I have wondered about that alot too. I would think that the entries should be more factual information about the name, while opinions on whether or not it is wearable or dated can be aired on the forums. It would also save the writers a LOT of time because things like that change pretty frequently and they have to keep rewriting entries.

I like the opinions; I think that's what makes the site helpful. You can look up meanings and origins of names anywhere. I mean I don't always agree with them but, hey, if you're planning on naming your kid Princess, you should be prepared for some adverse reactions.
