Meredith - for a BOY?

I like it a lot in theory (but I think it would be unfair to my son), but since we're sticking to the land of theory - I picked Meredith Edward.

Meredith Edward! I like the idea of using nickname Red if you want a nickname, but Meredith is a nice name all by itself if you want it for a boy.

There's a 9-yr-old boy the next town over (coastal Maine, US) named Meredith. I don't know how the name's played out for him IRL. I've heard, though, that the name is pronounced quite differently in Wales and for guys.....With the accent on the middle syllable. So: Me-Red'-Ith. Check on Forvo, the pronunciation website. I love the name for a boy, but only pronounced this way.

It is still considered a male name here in Wales and thuja has it right re the pronunciation being different for boys. The Welsh spelling is Meredydd .....aside from Meredith Grey of Grey's Anatomy I have never come across a female Meredith . As I can only picture strapping rugby playing lads with this name ....I love it !!

Sorry, but to me this is like naming a little boy Kimberly. Yes, it started as a boy's name, but it's all-girl now.

I like Meredith on a boy, but I also like: Marion, Evelyn, Kelley, Merrill, and Riley. For boys rather than girls.
