Tattie
Any opinions on the name Tattie? I find it really pretty for some reason.

I don't really like it unless it's a nickname for something longer, like Tatiana. Tattie sounds incomplete to me.
I don't have or want any kids. I just love names!
Top 10: Andrea, Chelsea, Tara, Brooke, Alexandra, Nathaniel, Cody, Grant, Alexander, Graham
I also love Russian and Irish names, as well as the names of many cities and countries.

A Tattie to me, is a Tattoo. Just sayin... Agreed with previous poster, maybe if it was a nn for something else, but not a full name itself

I think of potatoes. In Scotland, 'tatties and neeps' = potatoes and turnips.

I like it as a nickname for Tatiana only. I don't think Tattie has enough substance to make a complete first name. It's cute as a nickname though!

I just think of the adjective (dictionary definition follows):
- Worn and shabby; in poor condition: "the room was furnished in slightly tatty upholstered furniture".
- Of poor quality: "his gap-toothed smile and tatty haircut"
It's in (very) common parlance in the UK, Australia, and NZ, I would have thought the US too? Perhaps not. But not a nice name to saddle a child with, if I'm honest.

I like Tansy, which is a sweet and simple flower name but I do think Tattie = Tatty, ragged and worn.
