My little sister was at an Irish Dance Festival in Northern Ireland for girls between 3 and 12, and I was flicking through the programme to look for some interesting names. The majority of names where fairly common in the England and Ireland, but there where several interesting ones too so I thought I'd share anyway. Ones which stood out where -

Orlaith/Orla
Aine
Aoife
Laoise
Eimear
Niahm
Maeve
Coaimhe
Oonagh
Saoirse
Riana (this spelling)
Briannon
Erin
Kirsten

Mary-Kate
Emma-Jane
Hannah-Jane
Faye
Connie
Ria
Eden
Clara and Klara (this spelling)
And also several girls named Ellie, Anna, Chloe, Tilly, Evie, Scarlett, Isla, Amy and other names popular in the UK.

I really like Eimear, Maeve, Aoife (one of my favourites ever), Orlaith, Connie and Faye. I also found the double-barrelled names interesting because they're not common at all in my area. I also for some reason, love that spelling of Klara (even though I normally hate Ks instead of Cs), but I can't help but remember that Klara was the name of Hitler's mother and that sort of bothers me.
