Little help with our name lists- looking for offbeat, quirky but lastingly beautiful

Have been frantically compiling lists with my partner T.
T seems to favour shorter names, with the exception of Tulliver which he loves.
Looking for any sort of comments/opinions on these names really. Its early days in discussions so any sort of suggestions are brilliant. I'm looking for something which will carry on being exciting to me; something offbeat maybe?

    Rupert
    Inigo
    Kit
    Jasper
    Felix
    Tulliver
    Zeno
    Ivo

    (Possible middle names: Leo/Leon/William)

    Hazel
    Ida
    Penelope
    Virginia
    India
    Romy
    Flora
    Nell
    Agnes
    Bess

(Possible middle names: Lilibet, Philippa/Pippa, Cecille/Cecily, Imogen, Clara, Estella)

We aren't finding out the sex, but hopefully we can get to the 9 month mark with a couple of special names for both genders.
Looking forward to any help you can give..

I have a similar style, and LOVE Penelope, Flora, Virginia, and Bess for girls. I would also love Lilibet and Estella as FNs! Stella is one of my favorites right now, but Estella is slightly less popular and just as lovely.

For boys, I like Jasper, Felix, and Kit. Inigo just makes me think 'Princess Bride'. I've never heard of Tulliver before, but I have heard of Tolliver. I always felt like he would get lost in the sea of Olivers, though.

If I were to pick two top combos for you, it would be Penelope Clara and Jasper Leon. I think they have just the right amount of quirkiness but they're still stylish and beautiful.

Thanks for the responses- its good to know which names provoke really strong responses from people! I like Marin too- will be thinking that one over.
I've realised I really like the 'Rom/Rome' sound in names- Roman was on the boys' list but I am just not sold on it as it just doesn't feel quite right; and I love both Romy and Romilly.
Was wondering if any posters have any ideas of other 'Rom' names? Might post that as its own thread, in fact.

As for names that you can get Romy as a nickname for.....

    Rosemary / Rosemarie
    Ramona
    Romola

Roma, too, but I think of tomatoes, which are tasty but maybe a bit awkward.

We seem to have similar tastes! I really like this list.

Rupert -- Love it. You might want to look at Rufus, Rafferty, and Roscoe as well.
Inigo -- It's cute, but a bit hippie. Try Imriel.
Kit -- Love this as a short form. How about Kenzo or Killian or even Clement or Nicabar as a long form?
Jasper -- It's a fabulous name and fits all your criteria, though I believe it's getting rather trendy.
Felix -- Felix! Such a great name with such a great meaning. You might want to look at Ferris, Foster, Fabian, and Flynn.
Tulliver -- Hm. Now this I'm not crazy about. Shouldn't it be Tolliver? Torquil, Tancred, and Thibault all come to mind.
Zeno -- Sounds like a superhero or a kind of plastic to me. How about Zane or Zephyr?
Ivo -- Love it, particularly as a nn for long-form Ivor.

    (Possible middle names: Leo/Leon/William)

Hazel -- I adore this name. It's in my top 10. Look also at Iris, Tansy, Marigold, Linden, Juniper and Jonquil.
Ida -- This is probably one of my all-time most-hated girls' names. I detest the look and the sound. Sorry. Ada, however, is lovely.
Penelope -- So, so cute and classic. An eternal winner. You might also like Phillipa or Imogene.
Virginia -- Lovely, though the "virgin" prefix always gives me pause. I prefer Georgia, or Veronica.
India -- This stands out from your other choices as rather modern and trendy. Indira, on the other hand, is gorgeous.
Romy -- Feels like it should be short for something - perhaps Ramona? Romilly and Romola seem more complete.
Flora -- Very cute, though I'm not sure how it would age. Florence is more august, and would wear better from infant to adult.
Nell -- Probably one of my favorite nicknames! Some great ideas for getting to Nell here: http://appellationmountain.net/2012/...tting-to-nell/
Agnes -- Strong, simple, and ready for revival. I'd pair it with a pretty mn like Wren or Rose.
