Interestingly, I grew up (and still live) on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Most of the boys I grew up with had pretty normal, if maybe a bit vintage (for the time) names - Jacob, Alexander, Simon, Tyler, Matthew, James, Gabriel, Adam (born early 1990s). But there were some exceptions, boys with family surnames as given names, for example. Some that come to mind:
