I definitely prefer Catherine. The -ryn- thing is much too modern/70's for my taste. As for Katherine, the K just seems too "clunky" in front of an otherwise graceful name. And besides, Catherine is my mother's name : )

I'm a Catherine and love the Wuthering Heights connection. It is annoying to have a classic name that no-one can spell!

I much prefer Catherine - it seems sort of flowing and effortless, much like I would imagine a Catherine to be.

Being a name nerd has trained me to dislike most K-names. I automatically associate K with trendy, along with the fact that I find K's to be quite a spiky, unfriendly letter at the start of names. Catherine seems much more open.

I like both Catherine and Katherine but in general, I prefer Katherine. It seems like a stronger name to me. Which is funny because I picked Catherine as my confirmation name.
