Zero. Well, I knew someone who goes by "Ash" but I think his full name is Ashley. So, none. I hear of the name much more on the internet than I do in "real life".

I'm just so worried about it becoming the next Aiden. I only know of one Asher at the moment, but it seems to be teetering on the edge of super popularity. Boys names are so hard.

There's an Australian actress named Asher Keddie. I don't know any Asher's personally.

Just one! I love Asher but close friends used it about a year ago. I'm hoping a few years later I can use Archer. I'm in the Midwest US.

In New Jersey, I know exactly one Asher -- he's maybe 15 years old?

I remember thinking the name odd when I first heard it, but apparently his mom was just ahead of the curve.

I think it's a long way from Jayden/Aiden status in the states, at least so far.

I do not know any Ashers in real life, but recently discovered the name and am considering it as well. I was concerned about the potential rise in popularity, too. I have read on two different baby name sites that it is the "hot" name to expect a rise in usage, but it's so hard to know.

    Good luck!

I know one 14-year-old Asher. Since I know a lot of people who choose Biblical names, it might be more popular in my circles than in the mainstream.

I've only ever met one little boy named Asher. He's about 1 1/2 years old, and the most adorable, happy little guy ever! Love the name Asher!
