Am I crazy or could this work for a girl...
Clovis. I've always loved the name Clover for a girl, but my husband says we can't use it because he had a friend in high school named Clover, it would be "weird." I started thinking of similar sounding names and came across Clovis. I know Clove is getting some attention now because of the Hunger Games, so could Clovis be usable too? On a boy or girl, actually.
My cherished daughter, Rowan Jane. ~b. 10/2011~

I've never considered it before, but Clovis is actually very modern, very on-trend, and has a lovely sound. I say go for it!

Clovis is one of my faves. It's actually a boy name but since it's also a place name I can see it on a girl

I was thinking this too. I have NO idea why, but the name Clovis just sounds odd to me.

Sorry, to say but my mind is also drawn to similar sounding body part. It's not a nice word to me and I would never use it as a name.
