I like Galilee but don't think I would have the guts to use it as a first name. I would think it is lovely if I heard someone calling their daughter that though

I guess it's the same idea as Bethany, Judah, Jordan, but it's not my style. I think I'd prefer Gilead as a boys name or Petra for a girl or even Samaria

I kind of like Galilee! When I first saw the thread title I thought "Oh no! Too weird!" but I actually like the religious associations (make certain that you are okay with having that because it will most definitely come up) and Lily as a nickname!

I think Sienna is a bit more trendy than Galilee but with Lily as a nickname, I think they match well, personally.

I wouldn't use Galilee Myra because Myra is a bit old-lady and puts the first name into the "weird" territory. Is there any reason you wanted Myra? Does it honor family? I think Galilee Maren (like Karen but I like it better ) could be really pretty if you are trying to honor a Mary/Marie/Maria. Definitely keep it simple with the middle name. I think a virtue name, while they are nice (usually) one-syllable names that fit well, might be overkill because Galilee already has religious associations. Something with a hard consonant in the beginning and that is probably 2 syllables max would work well, I think. Also, nothing that ends in a long-e because that could sound a bit too rhyming

    Galilee Briar
    Galilee Cara
Galilee Maeve (I second this suggestion)
    Galilee Maren
Galilee Primrose (a bit old-lady as well, I think)
Galilee Ruth (maybe too religious or old-lady)

Do you like any of those?

    Atticus | August | Dorian | Gabriel | George | Hugo | Lysander | Theodore | Truman | William

I prefer Galilea only because the the "ee" seems to be a very abrupt ending-my tongue seems to trip over it a bit. It is pretty though...

    Galilee Ajah
    Galilee Brighton
    Galilee Maria

    Thanks heaps for your ideas!!!

I think I am really starting to warm to Galilee...Galilea is just too long for my tastes but thanks for the suggestion...Myra is my hubby's grandmas name she passed away last year and we were hoping to use it somewhere along the line to honor her memory...Perhaps it just won't work with Galilee...I love the nick name lily or Lillie but not keen on Lee...Do you think there are other ways of spelling Galilee? Or is it best to stick to the original spelling? No problem with the religious side of things we are Christians

    Galily?

Galilee is the best understood spelling and the way to get the right pronunciation most of the time.

Sienna and Galilee sound fine together. They don't sound matchy like Violet and Matilda or Daphne and Rose but that's not a bad thing. I like that they are both place name and I really like the mn suggestion of Bethan. We considered Galilee but chose Jubilee instead for our 2nd daughter's mn.

I like the original spelling best. I think that Galilee is unusual enough that you really don't need to bother with alternative spellings, and if you try to use an different spelling it will just make the pronunciation really confusing. I think that Galilee Myra is quite pretty, and I love the significance that Myra has for you. In situations where names honor or have particular significance or meaning then I don't think that flow matters as much, but I don't think that there's an issue with the flow anyway in this case.

Stick with the original spelling. Galilee is more recognizable and easier to figure out the pronunciation. Also, I really like this name for a little girl.

Sienna and Galilee would be adorable! I like the fact they aren't matchy in style, but share similar letters and sound good together. They also both have double letters which is cute.

Galilee Myra is also beautiful (although, sadly, Myra makes me think of Myra Hindley every time, and I can't put that behind it). EDIT: Although if it honours a relative, please use Myra. It's such a nice name and I do love it with Galilee. Please don't let me put you off.
