List of favorites for our twins
Thank you to everyone that offered suggestions on our last post. This is our list of favorite names for our twins. What do you think of them. As I said in my girls post, please be honest, I will not get offended.
Linus - Still not sure if this is too close to Silas or not?
Roman
Harrison
Atticus - Does this feel like too much name or maybe a little stuck up?
Barnabas or Barnaby - we like them both, do you think he would get Barney the Dinosaur jokes?
Tobias
Jack or Jackson, are there any other Jack names?
Amos
Joel
Hiram
Flynn
Henry
Samuel
Maxwell
Theodore
Anson - This really got my attention when someone suggested it!
Everett - Does this feel too modern with our other names?
Greyson - again, too modern?
Benjamin/Bennett/Benedict - we like Ben names, what is your favorite Ben name?
Which are your top two that you would choose for our twins?Kate - stay at home, homeschooling mom to
♥ Emmeline Aurora Kate ♥ Silas Jameson Lee ♥ India Clementine Rose ♥ Josephine Ruth Camille ♥ Cecily Jemima Claire ♥

I like:
Roman
Harrison
Jack/Jackson
Joel
Henry
Flynn
Maxwell
Theodore
Everett
Greyson
Bennett
Top two?
Henry and Jack(son)
Flynn and Greyson (I like Flynn Maxwell as a combo, and Greyson Theodore is nice.)
Atticus is the quintessential stuck-up and pretentious name to me, I do not like it at all.
Anson is too "antsy" to me.
Everett fits in just fine with your others to me, same with Greyson. But I do think Greyson is a bit more modern in feel. But so is India, and Flynn.
Linus is way too close to Silas.
And Barnaby will likely get a few Barney comments, but since he's homeschooled, and I'm not sure how popular Barney is among the upcoming generation (I work in a daycare, and I don't ever recall hearing any Barney comments ever.), he might be fine.2O - Aries - Slytherin - Daycare Assistant Teacher

Linus - Like I said before I like similar names but that is just preference
Roman- I really love this name and I love it with your boys
Harrison - I like it
Atticus - definitely stuck up for me
Barnabas or Barnaby - Barnaby is cute! I think the pp was right, being homeschooled probably would shield him from the majority of the Barney comments. I don't think my nieces and nephews even know who Barney is to be honest. Barnabas feels a little stuck up to me to
Tobias I like it but this one almost sound more like Silas to me than Linus
Jack or Jackson - I like both, I don't know about any other Jack names though
Amos -nice
Joel - I think it would be better as a mn
Hiram - I am on the fence with this one
Flynn - I like it a lot
Henry - classic!
Samuel - classic!
Maxwell - ooh, I think this is a PERFECT fit
Theodore - I like this one a lot too
Anson - IDK how I feel about this one, I kind of like it though. It has a feminine side to it which makes me think it would possibly become a girls name in the future
Everett - I have never met an Everett so I don't think it sticks out as exceptionally modern
Greyson - It works well enough to me
I think I like Bennett the best but I could see Benjamin or Benedict better with your names
Top 2 would be Maxwell and Roman for sure!~Parker ~

Favorites for twins:
Amos and Joel
Flynn and Theo
Finn (Finnegan) and Ben (Bennett)
Sam and Henry
Linus - yea a Linus and a Silas might be a bit odd if they weren't twins. I don't find it a very appealing name either, it feel weak to me.
Roman - meh, I know someone with this name, seems odd to me though
Harrison - I don't mind this one at all. Good option
Atticus - I like this as a mn not as a first, not good nn's
Barnabas or Barnaby - all I can think is of Hello Dolly. Barnabas is okay, maybe a different nn Arnie, Abe, Bass, Bear
Tobias - meh, okay
Jack or Jackson - Jaxon, Jaxson, Jacoby, Jacques,
Amos - I like this one
Joel - same, like it
Hiram - bleh, sounds like hymen
Flynn - Love!
Henry - like a lot
Samuel - like, love Sam
Maxwell - okay, really popular in my area
Theodore - like
Anson - I prefer Anderson (Andy), Anson sounds like Ants and.... to me
Everett - meh, doesn't seem like a fn to me.
Greyson - meh, not terrible
Benjamin/Bennett/Benedict - I love Benjamin and Bennett!Last edited by kala_way; June 21st, 2012 at 11:56 PM.

Linus - Yes, and it just has the Charlie Brown association for me.
Roman - Cute. Love nickname Romy.
Harrison - Just okay for me. Would you call him Harry?
Atticus - Very handsome, but better as a middle name.
Barnabas or Barnaby - For me, this feels more like "too much name". I just don't like it.
Tobias - Really like this! Fits well with your other kids and Toby is cute.
Jack or Jackson - Jack is cute. Jackson is too surname-y for me. I've never liked it.
Amos - Too ancient sounding for me
Joel - Kinda feminine sounding to me
Hiram - Dislike
Flynn - Is this a family name? Otherwise I don't like it
Henry - LOVE. I just love this name so much. So classic and cute.
Samuel - Love! I love Sam.
Maxwell - Cute, not my favorite
Theodore - I love this. It has so many cool nicknames too.
Anson - Nah. Just doesn't stand out to me.
Everett - Cute and cool. Not too modern.
Greyson - This is more trendy/modern. Just okay for me.
Benjamin/Bennett/Benedict - I like all three. Benedict is the most edgy and fits the sibset best.
Best of luck

My two picks are:
Joel and Harrison
- both are names that are classic, but not overly popular. Neither really have a nickname (you could use Harry for Harrison, but I think that takes something away from the name) and I think that both of these names compliment each other.
I also like: Samuel and Theodore together. Can use Sam and Theo (or Teddy) as nicknames, both are names that are from the same time era, and both names compliment each other as well.Favorite girl names of the moment: Cecilia, Eleanor, Amelia, Violet, Charlotte, and Ramona
Favorite boy names of the moment: Henry, Micah, Jack, Elijah, Owen, and Jonah

Linus - Oh, I absolutely adore Linus! It's so geeky and dapper all at once, it's utterly perfect. I do think Silas and Linus is too close, though, unfortunately!
What about using it as a MN?
Roman - nmsaa, sorry. It seems too pretentious and macho-macho to me, although I'm not sure where it gets the pretentious air to me. I like Rowan a million times more.
Harrison - I'm growing to like it quite a bit, but I like Harris or just plain, traditional Henry more.
Atticus - LOVE Atticus! It would probably be on my boys' list if it went better with my other favorites. I think it's so great with your other kids, though, I would totally use it! I think Atticus has a ton of great names to tame it down, too (Kit, Gus, Atti, Ace, etc.).
Barnabas or Barnaby - I absolutely love Barnaby, and the Biblical association for Barnabas, but Barney has always been a concern of mine, as well. I love the idea of Barnaby nn Ben, though--I know it's not exactly intuitive, but I still love it. I think with an -en- MN with it would make Ben work easier, too. Like Barnabas Henry or Barnaby Henrik...
Tobias - I like Tobias, love Toby, but I like Tobin nn Toby more, personally.
Jack or Jackson, are there any other Jack names? - LOVE Jack! I'm not crazy on Jackson, though. I think just Jack works better with your other children, too. (I think Linus Jack would be a great double middle for you, too!) Other full names for Jack... hmm, John, or Jonathan, maybe? Or even something like Jameson Maxwell or Jude Mackenzie, nn Jack?
Amos - it's a bit too vintage for me, but I think it'd be a nice MN, something like John Amos nn Jack?
Joel - I like other Joe names so much more--Joseph, Jonas (even Jonah), Josiah... but Joel is nice. I think it'd be a nice second MN.
Hiram - I absolutely adore it! It's so vintage and quirky and fun. I don't know if I'm gutsy enough to use it, but I've been obsessed about Daniel Hiram for a while now, I think it's fabulous. I really like it for you, as well.
It has a lot of the feel of Linus, imo, without the similarities to Silas.
Flynn - I like it a lot! I think it's such a fun, cool second MN.
Henry - I absolutely love Henry for you, too! lol, I had no idea it was on your list until now, I just really loved it with so many of your ideas! I think it's a great FN, but I think it'd make a great MN for you. I really love the idea of Atticus Henry or Barnaby Henry/Barnabas Henry...
Samuel - aww. I love Sam. If I used Samuel, it'd probably be a MN, but I love meeting little boys with the name. I think it's great with your family. Henry Samuel/Samuel Henry is great, too, I think.
Maxwell - love. Max is so cool. I prefer it as a MN though.
Theodore - I like it, but I prefer it as a MN, as I'm not crazy for Theo or Teddy. It is so charming, though.
Anson - eh, sorry, I'm really not a fan. My strongest association is this bad guy in the show Burn Notice, and he's just terrible, I just couldn't get past it. It is a novel, unique choice, though.
Everett - LOVE it! Everett is my second favorite boys' name, I really think it goes well with your children's names, too. There could never be too many Everetts, imo.
Greyson - I'm not sure if it's too modern for you, but probably too trendy.
I do love Greyson/Grayson, though, it's also on my short list.
Benjamin/Bennett/Benedict - I love Ben names, too! These are my favorites, I think, but I really love Reuben and Barnaby nn Ben, too.
My favorites are Everett and Linus, but with your other kids, I think Atticus and Barnaby would get my votes.
Good luck!Ashley
