Wow, 1500+ suggestions in one thread, is that some sort of record you think?! And they're still coming!
Melody - I do like it but it's kind of dated to the '80s
Mimosa - would be a very cute little girl, but can't get past the booze drink, and I loathe orange juice
Tindra - very nice, love the meaning. My sister's boyfriend is Swedish and she's been going to Sweden with him several times a year. I wonder if he's heard of the name, I'll have to ask him
Nymeria - my favorite name from the Song of Ice and Fire books so far (I'm only on book four right now though)
Carousel - I really like this one! But not feminine enough for me. Hope someone else finds it though!
Amethyst - can't remember if I commented on this one before. I think it's beautiful but can't see a good nn, and it's so long that a nn is inevitable.
Foxglove - love love love the plants, and Foxy would be such a cute nn, but not with my last name (again, hope someone else finds it!)
Windrose - sounds lovely but nms
Shoshanna - A friend of mine from elementary school (also probably will be rising due to the show "Girls")
I do like the combination Opal Silverbell a lot, but "bell" endings are just too darned hot right now! It's beautiful though.
This actually is me going with my gut. What happens is I have a strong gut reaction to a name, then I try to analyze why I feel that way in order to better understand what I like and dislike and in order to streamline the process for other people so they don't waste their time offering up tons of suggestions that I'm almost definitely going to dislike. The thing is, even if you're not as picky as I am, you can only use one first name (and maybe one or two middle names) for each kid. Everyone ends up discarding almost every single name out there in the process of naming their baby, and even if they don't voice or even realize their reasons, they had a reason for NOT picking those names, just like they had a reason for picking the name they did.
Oh and I'm sure you're going to laugh at this, but nobody had mentioned Stardust in this thread yet as far as I can remember, and I actually kinda love it as a middle name!

Oh yeah and I am kind of not sharing my other two sons' names for fear of them becoming too cool, but it's more because I don't want this thread traced back to me IRL, and I can almost guarantee there isn't another sibset with this combination of names. I'm paranoid when I'm pregnant; I'll post anonymously in forums where people don't know who I am, but as far as telling people IRL, I only usually tell people who I actually see (as opposed to announcing it on social media sites where everyone I've ever known and their friends would see it).

I don't know how I missed Stardust when I was making my suggestions on the previous page. Stardust is the quintessential sparkly name. It would be an interesting and shimmery choice for a mn!

Delta. While it does end in an A, it is decidedly feminine, has a math/science/space feel to it, and was semi-popular in the 1800's, which can sort of qualify it as an old lady name. Since you're in the US (right? I think), my guess is you'll reject it for the airline association, but I personally feel that just adds to its free spirit. Plus you wanted a word name, which will always carry associations. There is a popular Australian singer named Delta who carries it well. I think it is the perfect name for you.
