Recently I got into Arthurian legend names, which brought back my liking of Lunete. Everyone disliked Lunette, but I discovered Lunete was actually a name and have re added it to my list

Maybe you'll be interested in those: http://www.20000-names.com/female_ar...gend_names.htm
Couple of others I thought of:

That's what I thought it would be. It's definitely unique. Not something you would hear very often here in a America.

OK I finally got to the end, my oh my. Here are my honest two cents. I think your criteria is ridiculous! I totally understand being picky, but it seems like you care too much about what they name may be connected too or what people may think, or be trying too hard to be different. It's like you're judging the names for the wrong reasons. Word names are trendy right now, it's the truth. In the future word names will be old people names, names that were cool in the early new milenia. Nothing wrong with that either, EVERYTHING changes. You can't predict what a tv show character will be in 10 years.
I liked Clover, but I hate Chloe and I see the relation, wanting to avoid it as a nn. I also get the BM thing, awful initials! Among all the others you've liked (or disliked and later liked) I ONLY like Meadow. It's pretty, it's soft, not embarrasing and not much of a stripper name because it is acceptable. Most of the names on your list are stripper names or cartoon character names to me. I didn't read ALL the names posted because it just became a jumble of words so I stuck to the literature, but a name I like is Lyric or Link/Linka.
I think you just need to step back from over analyzing names for a bit and go back to going with your gut, what you love.
Also - it would really help if we knew your sons other names, but I suspect you aren't sharing in fear of them becoming too cool too lol. Eli is a fine name, and I am sure that young man will always be proud of his name. Your daughter Stardust Moonlight Sunshine Lollipop M on the other hand may be in line when she turns 18 for a more acceptable moniker.
Mommy to Ivory (the cat), Hudson (the bulldog mix), and LittleFoot aka Lilla (the lab x terrier).
Our little girl is due February 2013.

I've never met an Opal, none my age nor do I know of anyone naming their children that, so I definitely don't think it's too common or popular.
My weird name suggestions are: Shenandoah and Shoshanna.Favorite girl names of the moment: Cecilia, Eleanor, Amelia, Violet, Charlotte, and Ramona
Favorite boy names of the moment: Henry, Micah, Jack, Elijah, Owen, and Jonah
