Out of curiosity, what are your boys names? It would be easier to pin point your style and easier to create an acceptable sib set with that info.

Hey guys! You guys have really helped me out! After reading all these awesome suggestions, I've realized something - I think it's got to be a "word" name, whether that means a plant or an animal or a day or a jewel or a celestial body or whatever. I've seen so many cool and beautiful non-word names on this thread, yet the only ones that really stick out for me and make me go "hmm, that's got potential" are the ones that are actual things. Here's a couple more that have stuck out since I last posted yesterday:

Clove - but for Hunger Games, and also I don't think it stands that well by itself, like even though it's one syllable it would end up either Clover or Chloe or Clovey, none of which I want
Bunny - it's on my list but it's got the "B" thing going against it, and I think I kind of agree with the nameberry entry on Bunny saying, "is it enough of a name for your daughter?" If I was pregnant with twins I think Bunny and Pearl would be an adorable twin set alternative to my original set idea of Clover and Pearl, but I'm not sure any of those names really stands out for me on its own
Olive - It's so cute but basically it's uber-popular Olivia
Ocean - like this a lot but for a boy
Topaz - cute, I'd love to meet a little Topaz, but don't like the sound of it enough

My naming style for each boy is totally random and totally unrelated to what I like in a girl's name.

Okay, here's my list so far, with notes on each one:

Marigold - this one was going to be the middle name with Clover, and it would honor my husband's father's twin who passed away a few years ago, and my father's mother's last name (she is also passed away), and it perfectly captures what I used to love about Clover, but I'm afraid it's trending too heavily between the "M" thing and the flower thing and Magnolia blowing up right now, and (here's the real crazy objection but the one that's bothering the most honestly) its two parts are similar to the names of two girls from my school who died very very young, and between that and the two tributes from our own families I'm scared this name has too much bad energy and may "doom" the child to some awful fate

Moonstone - beautiful but not feminine enough for a first name

Gardenia - the "gard" sound is just masculine in my mind

Starling - like it but don't love it and husband doesn't like it at all

    Bunny - described above

Cinnamon - cute but possibly a stripper name

Begonia - don't have enough of an image of begonias to love this one, plus the "BM" objection with our "M" last name and it doesn't sound that great

Magenta - "Madge" is not a good nn, and "Genny" is commonplace

Frostine - perhaps way too much in this country, and maybe even too froo froo for me

Ginger - cute but kind of commonish, and the whole redhead association and this kid is probably not going to be a redhead

Ursula - don't dislike the sea witch association, but fear the Disney association makes it too dorky

Meadow - cute but too common for me, considering as the middle name to a flower name

Strawberry - cute but I get caught up on the "straw" part not being that great

    Frost - middle name only

Starlight - pretty but a strip club

    Moonbeam - cute but insane

Zelda - too close to my youngest son's Z name

Luna - like but think it's too trendy

Honeysuckle - love the flower, don't love "Honey" as a nn or "suckle"

Prairie - cute but I don't think I like it enough

Pixie - cute but maybe not on an adult, and it's semi-similar to my last name

Silverbell - very very pretty and seasonally appropriate most likely, but "bell" is so trendy
