Question Thoughts on name first name Lilibet

hi everyone, interested to hear thoughts on Lilibet as a first name, nn Betty or Betsy.
I just love this name and think its really cute and also classy, but am being told about how it came about from toddlers misprouncing Elizabeth, and that its too girly and dolly!
I disagree with this and it seems to me to be an accepted diminutive of Elizabeth.
Am definitely not going to call the baby Elizabeth as I have a good friend called that and also, it seems to grand and formal to me!
So - what thoughts on Lilibet?

It sounds like a mix of Lily and Elizabeth to me. If you love it, you should go for it. I have never heard of the name before, actually.

I like it. It was the childhood name of Queen Elizabeth II according to nameberry, which is cool ^_^
I think it's pretty and doesn't sound too much like a nickname and can have nicknames of it's own -- Lil, Lily, Bet, Beth, Betty -- Go for it!

    thanks! I like it too.
It was her childhood nickname yes, but it also seems to be an old english diminutive of Elizabeth.
i am wondering if everyone knows abotu the Queen Elizabeth thing though?
I like the fact she can choose to be Lily, Betty or Bette when she is older if she doesn't like Lilibet.

It seems like it is trying too hard to be cute

It does feel like a toddler nickname of Elisabeth to me, I can't really imagine an adult Lilibet.

I love Lillibet as a cute name but I would go with Lillibeth as a name and use Lillibet, Bet, Betty, Betsy, Beth, Lil, Lilly as nicknames I love it though, very sweet

I think Lilibet is adorable, especially with the nickname Betsy!
I did know about the Queen Elizabeth thing, but I don't think many people do so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

Lovely, I like Lilibet. It's cute, but I can't imagine an adult Lilibet. What about Lilibeth or Lilabeth?
