Thanks, I also like Selma a lot! Also, I like Brita. I love Annika, but it seems too close to my daughter's name, Hanna (same origin). Thanks for the ideas and feedback.

I think Gisella would be lovely, or Giselle. I also really like Saskia, Alma and of course Maren which I voted for.

Ella and Elijah is too much for me. Ingrid, Astrid and Greta, while lovely, just don't work with your last name. I really love the suggestion of Anya but it's a little close to Hanna (which I adore by the way!).

My faves, with some suggestions of my own, are (in no particular order):

    Elijah, Hanna & Maren
    Elijah, Hanna & Saskia
    Elijah, Hanna & Giselle
    Elijah, Hanna & Gisella
    Elijah, Hanna & Alma
Elijah, Hanna & Freya / Freja
    Elijah, Hanna & Maja
    Elijah, Hanna & Linnea
    Elijah, Hanna & Petra
    Elijah, Hanna & Embla
    Elijah, Hanna & Adela
    Elijah, Hanna & Amalia
    Elijah, Hanna & Cosima
    Elijah, Hanna & Ottilie
    Elijah, Hanna & Lilja
    Elijah, Hanna & Sonia
    Elijah, Hanna & Amelie
    Elijah, Hanna & Clara
    Elijah, Hanna & Liesel
    Elijah, Hanna & Alina
    Elijah, Hanna & Leonie
    Elijah, Hanna & Lotte
Elijah, Hanna & Helena (too similar?)
Elijah, Hanna & Lena (maybe better than Helena with Hanna)
    Elijah, Hanna & Matilda
    Elijah, Hanna & Adelaide
    Elijah, Hanna & Eva

    Good luck!

Wow, thank you for that list! I have considered Helena a lot, but I think it might be too similar to Hanna. I also like Freya, Leonie, Alma, Matilda and Amalia. DH in not on board with these names yet, however! I like Maja, but in the US I can only imagine it being mispronounced like crazy. We are presently in Europe, and I love the European names.

I think Maren sounds the best outside of Ella which is kind of commonplace nowadays but is, in no way, a bad name. I voted for Greta though because I think it is really cute and I like that you could call her Gigi because of her initials. However, the alliteration can bother many. I am usually bothered, but this one feels fine to me!

I like Maia spelled this way. I have a little cousin who lives in Minnesota named Mijah (pronounced like Maia) and I think she's getting by just fine (she's 8 now). We are Norwegian which is why the spelled it that way. I think it's an especially cute and spunky version, personally!

    Britta
    Clara/Klara
    Cora
    Edith/Edita
    Eva
    Julia
    Karla
    Lara
    Lela/Leila
    Lillia
    Lina/Lena
    Liza
    Lydia
    Mira
    Nadia
    Nora
    Petra
    Sara
    Tallia
    Tallis
    Tess/Tessa
    Tilda
    Vita
    Zara

With your last name I would choose a name ending in "a" like Ella or Anya or really anything that has the softer tone (Violet, Daphne, Sasha, Penelope...sorry these may not be your style just brainstorming with the last name) as Grinsted has a lot or hard letter sounds.

I also love Ingrid but agree with your ln it does not work. I am also not a big fan of alliteration, so Greta is not my pick either. I can't do Astrid. Besides being nms, I can't get over The Office association. With your ln, my favs are Ella and then Maren. Ella is my fav for you!
