Pronunciation issues
Have any of you ever thought you knew how to pronounce a name, only later to learn you were wrong? Then when you learn the correct way, you like your pronunciation better?
I have that problem with the name Carys...I pronounce it like the word Charismatic...or care-iss. I think I am wrong though...or maybe I am reading the pronunciation guides wrong? Oh please, someone tell me you have heard it the way I like it! I can wish, can't I?

All the time and I can't bring myself to correct it, every time I see it I pn wrong. I say Mila as Mill-a. Violetta as vi-o-let-uh. Sean as "seen" instead of "shawn" - been doing this since I was little and now it's just a bad habit. Sometimes I just wish people would spell it as it should sound in English..... And to me Carys looks like "care-ees"

It's pronounced Ka-riss. It's a hard C with a short a. The r is part of the second syllable not the first.
