Help please! Names to honor my faith
I am really looking for some names to honor my faith for future children. I'm a Christian and it would be so special to me to have a name that honors God in some way without just picking a name from the Bible. Here are some examples of what I am talking about:
Girls
Trinity (for Father, Son, Holy Spirit)
I really like Trinity but there is something about it I don't like. I can't put my finger on it.
Eliana (means God has answered in Hebrew)
I like Eliana, but I don't love it. It is also similar to my name and has the same pronunciation issue as my name.
Grace (Reflecting God's grace and mercy)
Love Grace but it's a bit overused. I do think it would be refreshing to see it as a FN, though.
Elliot nn "Ellie" (means The Lord is my God)
Love the meaning and love it on a girl. I love how it looks and sounds. My problems with it are 1) It is rising in popularity and 2) I know people will see it on paper and automatically think boy
Eliza (short form of Elizabeth meaning God is my Oath)
I love Eliza and have no problems with it. I will probably use this in the mn slot.
Liberty nn "Libby" (means Freedom- represents freedom in Christ and also associated with bible verses like Isaiah 61:1)
My top contender at the moment. I love the nn Libby.
Boys
Christian (obvious reason LOL)
Love Christian but really dislike Chris. Also it is a bit popular for me.
David (from the Bible, a man after God's own heart)
An ex's name
Ezra (from the Bible)
Like this, but I'm not in love
Gideon (tons of good reasons that I won't bore you with but mainly I love the story of Gideon from the Bible)
My top contender. Love it, I am just really hoping it doesn't rise in popularity
Immanuel (meaning God is with us)
Not in love with it, but I think it would be a good mn
Elisha (a man of God from the bible meaning God is my salvation)
Use to be my top boy name, but I am afraid people will either think its prn Al-ee-sha or if it's said out loud they will think it's Elijah
Micah (love Micah 6:8)
Love Micah, but it has "gone girl" over the years
If you have made it this far thank you for reading! I am open to any suggestions

I like a lot of those: Most of mine are in reference to God [since I rather not use Jesus, but I adore Yeshua but wouldn't use it] or His promises such as the names like River Jordan [my top boys name is from a passage in the Bible, and it's the river Jesus was baptized in], Rainbow,Emmanuel [middle name], Shiloh, Shepherd, Peace, Freedom, Hope, Truth etc. I love Elliott [either gender] and Elisha I say ee=lye-shh-ah. I only knew a girl named this, but I adore it on a boy. Liberty is cute.
Current Favorite Names♀ Bandit | Jareth | Banjo | Americus | Jurassic | Alabama | Heart | Disneyland | Wednesday | Dragon
♂ Clyde | Anakin | Artemis | Logan | Cassidy | Labyrinth | Dragon
PLEASE VOTE FOR MY NAMES THANKS!

My second son's name is Timothy, which means "to honor God." We love his name.
Here are my favorites from your list:
GIRLS:
* Eliana - Wow...what a pretty and unexpected name. My favorite!
* Grace
* Eliza
-- Liberty nn "Libby" - I am not a big fan of words as names, but the nn "Libby" really makes it cute and quite usable.
BOYS:
* Christian - Wonderful name, but I agree that the nn Chris is a concern.
* David - One of the most handsome names EVER. It used to be extremely popular, which is the only downside. Nonetheless, it is a timeless classic and a well-beloved (coincidental pun), strong, terrific name.
* Ezra - I quite like it.
--- Gideon - Not a big fan. I would just want to avoid the nn or teasing of "Giddy."
Suggestions:
* Samuel - Told by God
* Timothy - To honor God
* Gabriel - God is my strength
* Jonathan - Gift of Jehovah
----------------------
Jane (Feminine form of John) God is graciousMother of three teenagers: (1) Daniel Glen, (2) Timothy Austin, and (3) Rebecca Jane... all middle names honor family... 3rd generation mn Jane. (A second girl would have been Susanna Eve and a third boy, maybe Isaac...)

I too love Micah and am so sad that is has gone to the girl's side! It's hard enough to think of a boy name!

Maybe the reason you don't like Trinity is because of the Matrix movies. Who knows, though? I still love it.
I guess I'm one of those people who think no male name ever truly passes all the way into the female realm, but I honestly don't think Micah is too girlish. Honestly, the first thing I think of when I hear the name is a boy. I've always loved the name for a boy or a girl, either would be perfectly suitable imo.
Is Gideon getting popular? I have no idea of those things, but I know that it's popular with the Amish. They seem to be good at finding names like this. I think if you really love this one and the story that goes with it, you shouldn't worry about popularity. I doubt it can get that popular really- people like really trendy names or names with lots of nicknames.
I really like Samson, I don't know if anyone else recommended that. He was one of my favorite stories. I know it's probably not your style, but I've heard the name Jobie before, like Job. Eden is one of my favorites, and Eve is really pretty I think as a first name. Other than that, Jonah is kind of like Micah, and that's not over to the girls.Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. - Albert Einstein

I like a lot of your names and understand your dilemma! Have you thought about using any Saints names? You might find some nice ones there--and look beyond the actual names; their place names can also be used.
Some others:
Jubal or even Jubilee might be nice choices. I've met a Bethany, a Tirzah, a Maranatha, a Shekina, a Selah, and an Epiphany before as well.Current Favorites
