    A couple thoughts for boys:

You could do Zane which is a form of John and means "God is gracious"

I agree that Immanuel would make a great mn. Immanuel is one of my most favorite names for Jesus.

This might be more a stretch for you but our son has Luke as a middle name. Luke means "Light or bringer of light." We were faced with some hard times health wise for my husband when we were pregnant with my son and just knew that God had given us this little boy as the light in what, at times, was a scary year.

A lot of names do honor or reference God in their root meaning and the berries have pointed out a lot of wonderful choices. I want to mention that on our Supersearch page, you can type any word -- "God" or "Lord" for instance -- into the meaning search box and all the names that contain that word in their meaning will come up. You can just leave all the other fields blank so you get the full range of names. I just tried it for God and got 386 choices: http://nameberry.com/search/?gender=...derivation=God

Well most of your boys names taken from the bible...... I really dislike Trinity and Liberty. When I hear the name Liberty and Justice all I can think of is the USA and that they must be patriotic... not religious.... Trinity just bugs me....

I like the others except Elliot. Elliot is a boy's name and I hate that it's going to the girls.

My favorites for girls are Eliza, Eliana, and Grace. You can use Ellie with Eliana and Eliza.

I would avoid David at all costs, if it's a name of an ex, it's unusable in all forms. So I would just cross that one off. Ezra is my favorite boy's name. You could add Elliot for the boy's slot and then I'd like that too

There are many names that I love but feel I can't use due to the fact that I'm an atheist -- particularly Jericho and Galilee, which I think are gorgeous and modern but thoroughly Christian. I like the idea of thinking a little outside the box when it comes to meaningful names. How about Dove or Olive (as in the branch after the flood)? Stella Maris is a beautiful, ornate girls' name referring to the Virgin Mary.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I really like:

    Girls
Jane- I like Jane a lot but doesn't work with ln.
Eden- I really like this a lot.
    Eve
Jubilee- love this, it is actually on my list but didn't put it on here. I love it for a mn.
Grace Eliza (or Eliza Grace)- I really like this combo.
Annalie- this is really pretty. I hadn't thought of this one.

    Boys

Gabriel- love this and the nn Gabe. Also love this for a mn
Jonah- I love Jonah, but my nephew (who I see everyday) is Noah and I'm afraid thats too close
Jericho- I like this a lot. I also really like Jerusalem, but I think it's quite a mouthful.

I have considered Selah before. I love how it looks on paper but don't love the sound. Someone mentioned Jobie, I actually know a Joby and while I think it's interesting it's not really my style. Someone mentioned Jude which reminded me that I really like Judah. I am not 100% sold on it but I think I could grow to love it. I really like the suggestion of Dove and I LOVE Stella but it is just getting too popular

To the person who used Luke: I really love your reasoning for using it. Thats kind of the association I'm looking for.

Thanks for the suggestion of the Supersearch page! I will definitely take a look at it.

Thanks everyone for the responses! I love a lot of them and you have given me a lot to consider Still open to more suggestions, though.
