New to nameberry, would like suggestions
Hello!
I am new to Nameberry--not pregnant or TCC at the moment but have plans to start a family in the next few years. If anyone is willing, I would really love some suggestions of names to add to my list. Here is my long list for girls. Since my style has such a wide range, I am listing them in alphabetical order. I should also add that some of these names I wouldn't use for various reasons (popularity, prn issues, bad associations, already used by a friend/family member, ect.), but I have left them on my list because I still like them and they are an indication of my taste in names. Thanks in advance!
Albany
Aubrey (Probably too close to my name, but I love it)
Autumn
Berkley
Blair
Blakely "Blake"
Bristol
Caroline
Claire
Eliana (Not crazy about how it looks, but like the meaning)
Elliot"Ellie" (LOVE this on a girl but I know most people would see it and automatically think boy)
Eliza
Elodie
Everly
Grace
Greer
Hadley
Harlowe
Isla (Really growing on me lately)
Jubilee
Kate (Just Kate, not short for anything)
Liberty "Libby" (Top of my list for personal significance and also for the nn "Libby")
Lively "Liv" (Not crazy about Lively but I love the nn "Liv")
Macy
Meredith
Morgan
Oakley
Pippa "Pip"
Rowan
Ryan
Shiloh
Sloan
Stella
Sterling
Story
Sunday
Tatum "Tate"
Teagan
Tristan
Violet
Willow

Albany -- too New Yorky
Aubrey -- too popular
Autumn -- pretty, both in looks and sound
Berkley -- I think of Barkley the dog on Sesame Street, or a last name, or a little boy...the last thing that crosses my mind is a girl
Blair -- nice, and one I haven't seen thrown around on here much, making me like it a ton more
Blakely "Blake" -- boyish
Bristol -- I know a girl with this name, and I've always thought it sounded great--ten times better than Crystal
Caroline -- never liked this because of the question caro-LYNN or caro-LINE
Claire -- sounds so sparkly and shiny and clean, I like it
Eliana -- sigh...I LOVE the meaning of this name, and had it on my list until I saw it getting used too much on here for its trendy sound...BUT consider this alternative: Eliava means "my father is God" which makes me just as happy, and it doesn't have that popularity to cheapen it
Elliot -- never thought of it for a girl, but it would be pretty
Eliza -- love this, particularly Eliza Jane, as a shout-out to Little House on the Prairie
Elodie -- bleh
Everly -- bleh
Grace -- gorgeous but so overdone
Greer -- hm, not my style but interesting
Hadley -- kind of cute
Harlowe -- lovely sound, but I would recommend taking the e off the end
Isla -- never saw the appeal in this one
Jubilee -- aww! This is such a cute idea!
Kate -- plain
Liberty "Libby" -- I actually really, really like this
Lively "Liv" -- I would just do Olivia I guess, but that's sooo popular...Lively sounds like a hamster
Macy -- this is pretty
Meredith -- one of my favorites so far! Spellable, pronounceable, a classic, but still shows creativity on your part for not choosing a top ten name
Morgan -- same as above, though I like it a bit less than Meredith
Oakley -- meh
Pippa "Pip" -- this is a passing phase
Rowan -- I like this as much as Harlow
Ryan -- if you are honoring someone, I recommend Rye as a nickname instead of this...or Rylan
Shiloh -- LOVED this until Angelina Jolie celebritized it!
Sloan -- I love the look of this, but the sound of it sounds slithery and snakey to me...maybe as a middle name?
Stella -- haha, I love this name for personal reasons--cute personal memory of my entire extended family shouting the name "Stella" all at once because my dad was listing his grandfather's ten brothers and sisters by memory, and he couldn't remember the last one, until we all remembered it at the same time. STELLA!
Sterling -- shift this over to your boy list and I'll love it
Story -- what a sweet idea! So whimsical!
Sunday -- I like this, but I like Sundae better I think
Tatum "Tate" -- why shorten a beautiful name like Tatum? Love it in full.
Teagan -- AHH I love this one so much! But I took it off my list because it felt too popular? Maybe it has gone down? I still like it very very much.
Tristan -- boy
Violet -- boring compared to some of your others
Willow -- beautiful word that conjures up beautiful, daydreamy imagery in my head...of weeping willows and ponds and sky...love it
Winter -- pretty and exotic, but I've seen others mention it a bit too much for my liking
Suggestions:
Melody (instead of Elodie)
Jody
Beverly (instead of Everly)
Everlean
Greenlee
Sorrenda
Pepper
Alzina
Alzora (there's my screen name, found it in a graveyard!)
Ardena
Alita
Harlen (boy or girl?)
