Our girls list, help please :)

So, first of all my husband is awesome! We are not expecting, but would like to try for another child in a few years. He is really hoping for a girl next time, and recently we have been touching on names that we like. To my very pleasant supprise, my husband is a fan of Flora Louise, Eleanor (he likes the nickname Elly) and Layla (he's a big Clapton fan). So I am just playing around with middle names. Flora Louise is a pretty set first/middle combo, we just love how it sounds when you say it. My mother' middle name is Marie, and his mothers name is Myra - although she goes by her middle name. Any suggestions on how we can incorporate both Marie and Myra into a middle for either Eleanor or Layla? Do you have any other suggestions for middle names for Eleanor or Layla? Our last name is two syllables and starts with a W. Thanks!

I love Flora Louise! I think that, since Marie is a form of Mary and Myra is an anagram of Mary, Eleanor Mary or Layla Mary would be perfect.

Good point about the Marie/Myra/Mary connection.

First, I love Flora Louise. Beautiful.
    Maybe Layla Miranda?
I actually think the suggestion of Layla Mary is very pretty.

    Flora Louise is absolutely gorgeous!
Eleanor Myra or Eleanor Marie would also be very pretty.

I could only think of two names that would work to honor a Myra and a Marie, (other than the previously suggested). Eleanor Mara or Layla Marabel. Or, I kind of like the idea of Mayla or maybe Maela. Now I might have made it up, but I think I heard it on a person somewhere. Just a thought. Good luck!

I like Flora Louise! So charming, and Callum and Flora are great together.

As for Eleanor (love!), why not just Marie? I'm usually strongly against Marie (it's my own MN, haha, I grew up hating it, but I do appreciate the family significance!), but Eleanor Marie is just stunningly sweet in its simplicity, and I just adore it. I do like the suggestion of Eleanor Mary or Layla Mary, though. Or possibly even another Mary variant, like Eleanor Maria or Eleanor Mariah? Myra and Mariah sound very similar. I've been reading some English regency-period novels quite a bit lately, and I've heard several times now that in Jane Austen's era, Maria would have been said like mah-RY-ah, which I actually really love--I think Eleanor Maria (said like mah-RY-ah/Mariah) could honor the sound of Myra and the appearance of Marie--wdyt? I love the idea of either Eleanor Marie or Eleanor Maria, though. Maybe something like Layla Mirabelle? Mira/Myra is pretty close...

    Good luck!
