    Sibling for Beatrice

This is a purely theoretical baby for now, but I like to think about it and plan ahead.

We have an almost 3 y/o named Beatrice Lily. She gets called Bee or Lily Bee most of the time--I'm big on nicknames! I tend to like names that are classic or old-fashioned and maybe a bit fusty. I'm thinking it might be cute to do another nature-y middle name, but I'm not attached to the idea.

These are some of my favourite names at the moment, but nothing's really sticking out to me as the "the one" like Beatrice's name did. I'm also at a loss as to first/middle combinations. I'd love to hear what you Berries come up with!

    Welcome to Nameberry!

From your list, I recommend these names with Beatrice: Arthur, Henry, Hugo, Oscar and Theodore [or] Agatha, Eleanor, Georgia and Harriet.

    Another possibility is ...

    01. Arthur --------------- 01. [Beatrice]
    02. Gordon -------------- 02. Charlotte
    03. Henry --------------- 03. Eleanor
    04. Maxwell ------------- 04. Harriet
    05. Rupert -------------- 05. Louise
    06. Theodore ----------- 06. Winifred

... a sibset comprised of "intellectual power" names [Nameberry term].

violetgray - I love Eleanor Ivy! Henrietta Poppy caught my eye too, but I'm afraid SO would never agree to Henrietta--too frilly. Georgia Fern is gorgeous as well.

I love your suggestions of Henry Oak, Arthur Basil, and Oliver Finch for boys. Henry Oak is just handsome and Arthur Basil sounds like a little old man, which I find completely charming and adorable!

lori johnson - "Intellectual power" is right up my alley, I really like most of those names. Unfortunately we already know several Max's and a Louise, but Rupert is one I might consider.

For boys, I really like Henry, Theodore and Simon. I think that they all fit really well with Beatrice. I think that Henry Simon and Simon Theodore make really good first/middle combos.

As far as girls go, my favourite name is definitely Georgia. I think Beatrice and Georgia would be a lovely sibset. I like the combos Georgia Rose, Georgia Caroline, and Georgia Eleanor.

Thanks for the input, erinlw! Georgia Caroline would be great because it would honour both of the baby's grandmothers. I'm worried the association with the US states is too strong, though. I suppose it's not really that big of a deal, but it does bother me a little.
