Please help me!! 5 weeks to go!

    Hey!

I haven't posted here since I was about 16 weeks & just found out we're having a boy but I am now
35 weeks with only 5 weeks to go and I still haven't really found the perfect name. We are putting together a list of names and will pick from that when he is in our arms.

I've been looking for traditional & fictional names in the past. I've now given up since it doesn't seem to be any more besides the ones I like already.

I have recently "found" the name Cruz. I love it but can't decide if it's the name OR the style of that name. [ don't bother about the Beckhams because I don't care haha ]

I am up to ANY theme/category, I like the names to be unique but not weird & not too popular.
I would like people to think "oh, that's a great name, I wouldn't have thought of it" if that makes sense?
Future sister will have a very very unique name with nn Nessie.

    Our preliminary list:
    -Edmund, Henry(I like, hubby doesn't.),
-Konrad & Hugo (Hubby like, I don't, I love Hugo but 1 of 4 boys where we live will have that name in my sons age.)

The names doesn't have to be anything like the ones we have on our lists since they are quite traditional & popular.

Middle names might be Erik Lloyd but we're not sure yet. Last name will probably be Baldwin.

    Any suggestions??

    Thanks!!!

Ooh! Cruz is zingy with a mature yet exotic ring to it! Perfect for a bouncing baby boy!

I like Edmund, not too keen on Henry as a first name, it makes a lovely middle name though!

Konrad and Hugo are both striking with their harsh sounds, and the sophisticated "K" initial and "-o" are so cute! But, like you said, Hugo is a little popular at the moment...

So you said traditional but fictional... If you're going to have the nn "Nessie" don't go for Edmund because it's too similar to Edward and we know just how popular those names will be thanks to the infamous vampire books...

    Here are some suggestions;

August (with Eric Lloyd it sounds beautiful!)
Carter (also has a nice ring with Eric Lloyd)
    Cassian (statement name!)
Cosmo (I might be going a bit too fantasyish now...)
Cyril (vintage cute, and is gorgeous with Cyril Lloyd Baldwin!)
    Dexter
    Dimitri
    Elias
    Enzo, a variant of Henry!!
    Ezra (fresh!)
HartleyHart” (Hart Baldwin is such a striking and noble name!)
    Jasper
    Jeremy/Jeremiah "Jem" (twee!)
Lyle (vintage, but the alliteration with Lloyd doesn't sound nice at all)
    Marius
    Noah
Quentin (I think Quentin is underrated! Such a beautiful-looking and sounding name!!)
Silas (very poetic with an ethereal feel)
Wyatt (the “W” really harmonises with your surname; Wyatt Baldwin)
    Xavier (sweet and spicy)
Zachary (great name for an active little boy!)
Zane (full of zip but tamed with the gentle middle names; Zane Eric Lloyd! Lovely!)

Hope this helps a tad, my lovely! Good luck!

Are you in the US? Because Cruz is #300 here. Much more popular than some of my suggestions that aren't even in the top 1000: Rudolph, Leopold, Oswald, Clifford just to name a few. Henry is also #57 (even higher in my state). I'm not saying you have to go with any of our suggestions but you keep saying everything we suggest is too common when really the names you like are way more common. Not trying to be mean but I just wanted to point that out (and I have no idea where you're located, but that's where the names sit on the US list).
