More boy thoughts...
Me again! Ok, so we have a couple names on the list for boy (Grey, Knox - husband still really liking Knox and have had Archer on and off the list) as a brother for Eden/Edie. Middle name for potential son will be David or Davidson (family name on both sides) and we already have a second middle name (my maiden name)
So I started looking at a family tree...
Arthur is a family name on my husbands side. I don't care for Artie but love nn Ari and like that it is a family name.
Do you prefer Arthur or Archer? Is Archer trendy? I don't care for nn Archie but don't mind Arch. Could also use Ari.
Another name on DH's family tree it Myer. I think I really like it. Edie and Myer? Thoughts?
Also considering Pierce.
Anything I am missing that you think I would like?Last edited by onelove19; June 16th, 2012 at 12:15 PM.

I like Arthur and Archer. I think I prefer Arthur by a bit though. Archer does seem a bit trendy, though not in a bad way necessarily. I do like Myer too. It is interesting and has a great meaning. It may be a bit too much of a surname for me though, especially if it was paired with Davidson. I know a little boy named Pierce, and the name works well for him. Here is my order of preference (I think):
1. Arthur
2. Myer
3. Archer
4. Pierce
I also love David as a first name :-) Good luck!

Maybe this sounds selfish but I grew up with Davids/Daves all around as did my husband and I would sort of like to give the kid an individual name but still honor all the Daves in our lives without any confusion. I did consider David as a first name and then calling him by his middle name but that just seems silly. I love Davey though

I like both Archer and Arthur, Archer more than Arthur, but I think Eden and Arthur would be just adorable. Arthur nn Ari is quite refreshing, actually!
Myer is interesting... I love surnamey choices, but it feels a bit too surnamey to me. I like the Meyer spelling more, too. Eden and Meyer is interesting, the more I see it the more I love it. I have an audio story on my iPod right now with a Meyer Abbott in it--I actually like Abbott more as a FN option than Meyer. I absolutely love Eden and Abbott together, too, or is that too religious for you? I think Abbott David or Abbott Davis would be adorable!
Pierce is handsome and striking and great with Eden, but I do like your previous options of Grey and Knox more, though. Pierce David is nice, though!
Good luck!Ashley

Thanks so much for the feedback Ash! Are you saying you like Knox and Grey more than Pierce or more than Archer and Arthur too? Abbott is nice, I might have to say it a little to get use to it but I will throw it out to my husband (just to keep us confused, lol, j/k as I do appreciate suggestions!!)
