Private school / artsie type names?
I need background character names for a theatre-arts school. Preferably a mix of sensible "normal" popular names, e.g. Hannah, Charlotte, Emily; and others which would appear slightly out-there either because they're old or unusual, e.g. Audrey, Rowan, Nevaeh. The only constraint is that they have to be names likely to be chosen by parents who can afford to pay tuition.
Thanks in advance!

These are a few that popped into my head:
Persephone
Hermione
Cordelia
Harriet (Hattie)
Eugenie
Freya
I picked the following names from the friend-list of a friend on FB who is 17 and lives in quite an affluent area of England, west of London with some good schools around. I chose them with the criteria of whether they appeared 3 or more times - she has over 700 friends on her list. Some were listed upto 16 times! Many had used a pssible shortened form, so I listed those too. Her own name is NOT mentioned.
Abigail (Abby)
Amelia
Amy
Anne/Anna
Any name to get Alex as a nn
Beth (Bethany or Elizabeth I don't know)
Chloe
Daisy
Any name that you get to Ellie as a nn
Emily
Emma
Francis/Francesca
Gabrielle
Georgia
Georgina (Georgie)
Grace
Hannah
Helena
Imogen
Isabelle (Izzy)
Jasmine
Jessica (Jess)
Joanna
Kate/Katie
Laura
Lauren
Lucy
Megan
Natalie
Olivia
Phoebe
Rachel
Rebecca
Rose

Sophie/Sophia/Sofie/Sofia

I hope it helps!

Thank you all very much so far, it's much appreciated. I went to a local comprehensive so not much luck using names I'm used to seeing. :P Though I have a few decent ones from the lower/middle class Christian primary school I went to.
thetxbelle - The setting is current, but ultimately I'll use any names which sound convincing. Seeing as that demographic seem to use more traditional and less Maiid Uhp Na'Mez I'm not fussed.
namenutt - Thanks especially for the list from fb, that's what I usually do when in need of names but for these types of names I was stumped.

I'm imagining people who are probably at least a little pretentious, if this is a private school. Some "pretentious" names that pop into my mind are:
Cordelia
Blair
Celia
Serena
Isabelle/Annabelle/Mirabelle
Victoria
And then here are a few suggestions for common/popular names:
Amanda
Megan
Emma
Stephanie
Chloe
Grace
AbbyI'm Erin, a teenaged writer who loves names (and dessert).
Girls names of the moment: Delaney | Eleanor | Georgia | Kate | Lucy
Boys names of the moment: Felix | Harry | Liam | Theo | Tobias
