    Help me please!

I am due to have a baby in three weeks. The doctor tells us it's a girl, which would be good because we already have 2 boys. Me and my husband are both writers, so it can get very argumentative when we are discussing baby names. My husband Garret suggests Thalia, which I like, but my mother hates, and it's really hard to find a middle name for it. Our other kids are named Adelaide Cadence, Felix Travis, Perseus Dashiell, and I was REALLY seriously thinking about Annabeth. Of course none of us can decide, because Felix and Perseus want me to name the baby Hairy Potter. I was also considering:
    Thassla, which i made up
    Piper or Hazel
    Harper
    Xia
    Cassidy
    Avalon
I'm a bit of a name nut, and I can never decide on a name. I really need help, and I like Greek and Egyptian names, but NOT Roman. I don't like over used names like Sarah and John, so I'm not afraid to pick a name that I will have to explain to grandma.

Thessaly seems like one you might like.
    Megara (MEG-uh-ruh)
    Daphne
Delta << letter of Greek alphabet
    Abila << ancient Greek city
    Edessa << ancient Greek city

Of your names, I love Piper and Harper best. Not sure how to pronounce Thalia--where does the stress go? I feel like Cassidy and Avalon are a bit too trendy sounding, and Hazel just makes me think of Julia Roberts' child. Xia is pretty to say, but it looks Chinese, which is great, but I don't see it blending well with your other kids' names. (LOL...just looked it up and it totally is Chinese, which I'm assuming you already knew. ) How about Gia? Monema is a name I've seen on several tombstones. I assume it's pronounced mo-NEE-ma, and that sounds a little Greek to me too.

Thalia Grace doesn't work? Since it's your user name, I thought you must love the name a lot.

    My recommendation is ...

    01. Adelaide [German - 3 syllables]
    02. Felix [Latin - 2 syllables]
    03. Perseus [Greek - 3 syllables]
    04. Zelda [German - 2 syllables]

... a two-syllable German name that sounds Greek.

Wow..I just want to say what a thoughtful way of picking out a name that fits in with her other 3. Zelda on its own seems very videogamish to me, but when you put it in the context of the other 3, it really fits in. Just thought you did a great job of putting a lot into the suggestion.

I like Cassidy and Harper, and Annabeth is very pretty. Maybe you'd like Athena, Phoebe, Callista, Magdalena, or Agnes.
I'm Erin, a teenaged writer who loves names (and dessert).

Girls names of the moment: Delaney | Eleanor | Georgia | Kate | Lucy
Boys names of the moment: Felix | Harry | Liam | Theo | Tobias
