Alouette, what do you think?

Ok so recently I was thinking about names and heard the little kids nursery rhyme song Alouette (I work in childcare so it's not that unusual haha) & it means lark and I can't get it out of my head as a sweet name for a little girl nn potential includes Lulu, Ali, Lou, Ette/Etta.
What do you think? Too out there for regular use/a child that's not born to a celebrity lol, I think it's sweet but I'm not sure

I don't like Alouette, it reminds me of the target commercial, and you do know the song is about plucking feathers off a lark right? It's a VERY common children's song in France, so I would avoid it for that reason...

I live in Australia I don't think it's a cheese spread here lol I'll have to check & the song thing, well there's always worse songs to be named for haha I was just thinking some possible future (way way way WAY future cause I'm not pregnant and not looking to be for a long time) would bethat it would be too hard to pull off, like the parents were trying too hard or something.

I don't know I still thinks it's cute but I like to hear other people's opinions and reasonings especially in regards to names

I also live in Australia, and have never heard of the cheese spread or song... But it may not work so well in other countries if you ever wanted to travel, or your child wanted to.

As for the name, I'm not particularly a fan but then again I tend to not like most French names...Because...Hmm...They are a bit too sweet/sugary? I don't know if thats the right word to describe it.

Also, before I checked the right pronounciation I kept on saying A loo ett and others may trip on it as well.

Though I do love the possible nickname Etta, which is a redeeming feature. But there are plenty others names that can provide that nickname as well.

Overall I'm not a fan, it provides nice nicknames and has an interesting nature vibe from the meaning but I can't get behind it, sorry.

But if you love it go for it.

I think it's ridiculous, to be honest. It isn't used as a French name, so I don't really see it as being appropriate as an English name.
I do like Etta and Lark, though.
