I like Annabelle and Anneliese (and Anaëlle, but it's a bit difficult say, I suppose) quite a bit. Annika could work, I say AWN-nih-kuh. Another idea is using names that mean the same thing. So you could use Grace as a middle name or first name. Charis/Karis (prn. KAR-iss with the a like car, though you would probably get CAIR-iss a lot) is a Greek name that supposedly means grace. I thought it was a great idea, and now I can't find a lot of names that mean grace that are 'usable' that don't have An- somewhere in them, haha.

    Anyway, I love Anneliese, personally!

I LOVE Anya. I also like the suggestion of Antonia or Antonina -- either one of those could get the nn Nina. But if you love Nina as it is, you could absolutely just go with that. My opinion is that when you want to honor someone or some tradition and you come up with something through that thought process, you're honoring them. Doesn't matter what the ultimate name is.

My favorite is Annelise. But I'm surprised no one has suggested Anastasia. Personally..I'd keep the Ann.. tradition in the mn spot.

I thought of Annina right away, it seems perfect for you. (Or the spelling Anina).

Really like Annika too, but I feel from most Ann- names you just don't get Nina. Other idea: Nina Anne.

The only ones I can think of that haven't been mentioned are Leanne, Annalee / Annalie and Antiquity.

I have a cousin called Athena and her nn is Nina.
You could spell it Athina so the nn comes more naturally
You could call her Athena Ann
You could call her Anathena (OK maybe this is a bit too far)
