    Aurora and __________?

After taking a couple days to work on this, we have definitely decided on Aurora for one twin These are the options that we have to go with Aurora. What are your opinions of them?

Aurora & Cambria - There is just something about this one

Aurora & Leilani - Leilani has been a favorite of ours from the beginning

Aurora & Abriana - We just discovered Abriana which is very common in Italy and would give an Italian connection to honor our heritage

Aurora & Eliana - Aurora means "dawn" Eliana means "sun"

Aurora & Anastasia - both have a princess connection and I think the meanings of "dawn" and "resurrection" complement each other nicely

Aurora & Jordana - we like both names individually but I am not sure they go the best together and they really don't have any connection to tie them together.

Aurora & Amaya - this was our original set for Aurora and I like the meanings of "dawn" and "night rain" together but I am not sure if this is the one but I figured I would go ahead and put it out there for opinions.

If you vote in the poll, if it is not too much trouble, please leave a comment so I know why you chose what you chose.

    Thanks
    Parker

i was stuck between aurora & eliana or aurora & cambria. I voted for a&c but now i think i changed my mind haha. I'm personally not a big fan of naming twins with matchy names or the same first letter, but all of the other combinations i liked. I also like the nickname options of Rory & Cami or Rory & Ellie.

It was between Aurora & Eliana and Aurora & Leilani.

Aurora & Eliana: I love the connection of dawn and sun. Plus both start and end with vowels--they don't have to worry about being called the Double-A twins or some other quirky names people label twins with instead of learning their names.

Aurora & Leilani: Two of my favorite names. Love that Leilani means heavenly flower.

In my opinion, the least favorite pair is Aurora & Jordana, as you said, I don't really see a connection.

    My favourites are:

    1) Aurora & Anastasia - I love both names individually, love them together (I don't think they sound too matchy, despite the A initials they have distinct sounds), I love how the meanings compliment each other and I love how they are both "princess" names. Sisters can be competitive, and I think this is likely amplified for twins, so I think its important to make things like names as equal and balanced as possible. I just imagine one loving that they shared a name with a Disney princess (as most little girls would!) and the other hating that they don't! Lol. I suppose to avoid this if you don't use Anastasia, you could use Belle as the middle name for the second twin!

    2) Aurora & Eliana - again, I like both names individually and think they work well together. They feel equal and are both feminine and a little frilly. Again the meanings compliment each other well. A really lovely choice. But personally I find Anastasia has the same sophistication as Aurora, whereas Eliana could feel a little trendy in comparison because of all the "El" names and "iana" names like Ella, Ellie, Elena, Aliana, Adriana, Liliana etc. And I just slightly prefer Anastasia to Eliana anyway, but thats me being picky, it really would still be a great choice. And for what it's worth, Eliana Belle is lovely lol.

    3) Aurora & Leilani - I've always had a soft spot for pretty Leilani, and the meaning heavenly flower is lovely. I like that the sounds of the names are more distinct than some of the other choices (different initials and ending sounds) while still complimenting each other since both are 3 syllables, soft and feminine. I put it third though because the names don't match as well style wise to me as the combos above, even if they match sound wise. Aurora and Leilani have very different feels and I wouldn't picture them as sisters, although I guess theres something nice and unexpected about that. I still prefer the above options though for their subtle connections that make the names feel more like "twin" names. But again, Leilani would be lovely and Leilani Belle works too hehe You may already have middles chosen!

I'm not a fan of Cambria (feels masculine and trendy to me sorry!), Jordana or Abriana sorry. Amaya is lovely but I don't like it at all with Aurora, this one does feel way too matchy sorry.

So theres my two cents! Hope it helps and congrats on the twins!

Yay! I'm so glad that you've chosen Aurora for one.

Aurora and Eliana is my number one, I love the relation to the Sun.
Second, is Aurora and Anastasia, then Aurora and Leilani.

I voted Cambria, but also think Anastasia would be a beautiful choice to go with Aurora if you don't find it's length too cumbersome.
